🖤Two months before confession🖤

Loyal to her friends
Optimistic to the end
Rambunctious fire inside
Empatetic that can't be outride
Loveliness that can't be defined
A heart of gold that can't be lied
Incredible, seraphic personality
Is all i need.

*the poem isn't the best, sorry*

Stone looked at the subject of the acrostic poem herself- skipping around in the meadow they came after walking around Ramshackle for a bit. Her booties were getting covered in the dewy grass as he rolled his eyes at her, in a good, platonic way. His focus then fell on the midnight sky. Funny to think that he asked Lorelai earlier for a unique word he'd use in a poem that described a beautiful person. "Seraphic" is what she told him.

Her personality was the first thing he thought of.

"Stone!" Her joyful, melody voice emerged, calling him over to sit next to her. "Over here!"

Slowly, he made his path off the rock he was sitting on and over to her as the cold night breeze gently hit his skin. He ignored it.

"Uh, Lorelai, the grass is soaked, it has been raining lately" he told her.

"It's just a little dew. It never killed anyone" she told him before inviting him to lay down.

And he did. How couldn't he? Slowly, Lorelai inched closer and closer to him before she started playing with his hair. Unconsciously, he leaned into her touch. So soft...

"So how's everything going?" She asked, gently braiding his hair.

"Pretty good. Well, as good as living on the streets can get" he told her.

She remained quiet. He could hear her faint breath above as she caressed his hair. He shared what he thought to her, now he wanted to hear her. He wanted to feel her words on the top of his head. Stone wanted to hear her speak, her soothing voice. It was adorable.

"How about you? How's your perspective on life? Find any source of passion perhaps?" He asked.

Her expression saddened for a moment before a smile came across her face.

"Oh, don't worry about it. Life's okay, thanks to you, Skipp, and Vinnie. You guys make me feel connected and secure. Annnd I have a goal to chase....I just try to forget about my past life before I was a scrap" she said the last part nervously.

Stone started to feel...things when she said that. He knew she was mostly meaning the two scars on her back but he also knew that she suffered so much more then what she was leading on. And he didn't want to hurt her. Not by a long shot.

"Hey, it's okay. You don't have to talk about it. I understand how that feels."

Just saying that triggered him.
His family.
All the trauma.
His bitch of a sister.
Avrille.

"I understand, really."

Lorelai sighed and smiled.

After a little while, Stone and Lorelai slowly walked back into town, everyone dead asleep except for a few cats and mice. A dog howled in the distance, making Lorelai jump a little bit and grab onto his cold hand with her warm one. Once she realized what she did, she let go.

"Sorry!" She immediately apologized, biting her bottom lip.

"It's fine, really" he replied.

He saw her smile a little bit before slowly grabbing his hand again. For some reason, Stone found her warmth rather comforting. Like she was her own sun. Then, he said something he never thought he would.

"Tra' gra' agum duit."

"Hm, What's that mean?" She asked, tilting her head.

Her voice...it was just like a song. Her emerald eyes sparkled in the moonlight as they looked into his.

He grinned.

"Nothing. Nothing."

She shrugged happily before a pink blush covered her cheeks. Then, very quickly, she kissed his cheek. She immediately pulled away and muttered a quick "good night" before she walked the rest of the way home. That day was one of the many complicated days that would follow in the following months. But at least he got a chance to figure out his feelings and say that to her.

🖤Present day🖤

Stone smiled at the memory. And that was only a few months ago. And even now, through everything they've been through together, she's never changed a single bit. And he loved that about her.

"Okay. Whatever you say, love" he told her before giving her a kiss on the cheek and then chugging down a bottle of rum.

"Thank you, Stormcloud" she replied with a blush on her cheeks.

She then stole his bottle and chugged the rest of him, making him whine a little.
