"Sera?!?"

He immediately opened the window and allowed her inside.

"Hey" she greeted nervously before she snapped her fingers, causing her dress to change into something more comfy.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be up in heaven?" He asked, tears still clinging to his eyes.

"Well, when I meet new people, I gain th ability to sense their emotions. And I sensed that something was wrong so I came to check. Are you okay?" She explained as she sat down before placing a hand on his shoulder.

He immediately flinched awat, evoking a feeling of concern inside of the seraphim angel.

"I feel like a burden" he exclaimed.

"...you're not a burden..."

She looked at his neck and saw the tiny, nearly invisible scars. She sighed as a look of sympathy came into her gaze.

"I....might not understanding why you feel like a burden because of everything you went through growing up in hell, but...you're not" she told him.

He looked at her with a questioning look.

"Why not?" He questioned.

"Because you're part of a loving family. Sure, you might not be related by blood but....no matter how many times you may mess up, they're not going to cast you away" Sera softly spoke as she looked him in the eye.

Xander's composure immediately broke. He crouched down and hid his face in his knees.

"But I'm not like my sister! I'm not great with people! I keep getting hurt either by fighting or tripping! I can't even steal a purse without getting the fuck beat out of me!"

Seeing his breakdown only fueled her remorse. She slowly walked over to him and spoke softly.

"...it seems like you need a friend..."

The seraphim angel sat on her knees in front of the incubus and gently put her hand on his shoulder again. After a moment, he pulled her into a hug and started sobbing into her shoulder. Sera only smiled with a light blush on her face before she hugged him back.
