After conversing with the Harunos, the pair decided to depart, expressing gratitude for their time before heading home together.
"Thanks, Naruto," Sasuke acknowledged, catching Naruto's glance.
"No need to thank me!" Naruto chuckled softly, hands in pockets, strolling casually.
"Glad you and Sakura-chan are doing well," Naruto said, closing his eyes. Sasuke faintly smiled in response.
"Take care of her, teme," Naruto pointed at Sasuke before parting ways. Sasuke bid farewell to his best friend and headed home to Sakura.
"Welcome home, darling," Sakura greeted warmly.
"Tadaima," Sasuke replied as he settled on the floor. Sakura joined him.
"How did it go?" Sakura asked eagerly.
"Fine," Sasuke replied, resting his head on Sakura's shoulder.
"My parents can be a handful," Sakura chuckled nervously, holding Sasuke's hand and gently rubbing it with her thumb.
"Hn," Sasuke murmured.
"You should get the Uchiha crest on your back," Sasuke suggested, glancing at Sakura slowly. Their eyes met, and Sasuke noticed Sakura's flushed face.
"I-I'll get to it," Sakura said, smiling with rosy cheeks.
"Uchiha Sakura," Sasuke whispered to himself, closing his eyes.
"I'm hungry," Sakura blurted out, pouting at Sasuke. They hadn't eaten since lunch, and there were no groceries in the apartment. Sasuke pondered for a moment before resorting to his last option.
"Maaa... I miss being a normal jounin," Kakashi mused, reminiscing about his past while reading his book.
"Kakashi!"
"AH! Sasuke," Kakashi blinked, surprised by Sasuke's sudden appearance.
"It's been a while," Kakashi sighed in relief.
"I need your help," Sasuke said, leading Kakashi to Sakura's apartment, leaving Kakashi puzzled.
"S-sensei!?" Sakura exclaimed upon seeing Kakashi.
"Sakura, hello," Kakashi greeted, pausing as he noticed her belly – she was pregnant. Kakashi smiled under his mask, thrilled to know he'd soon see the children of his former students.
"Who's the father?" Kakashi teased, glancing at Sasuke, who smirked, confirming himself as the father.
"So, what do you need me for?" Kakashi asked, surveying the surroundings.
"To cook for me and my wife," Sasuke stated, surprising Sakura and Kakashi.
"To cook?" Kakashi raised an eyebrow.
"Hn."
"Do you know who I am?" Kakashi asked, amused.
"Kakashi," Sasuke replied, settling on the sofa. Kakashi glanced at Sakura, who nervously laughed by the doorframe. Kakashi wondered if Sasuke knew he was the Hokage or just called him "Kakashi" regardless. He sighed, contemplating what he'd gotten himself into.
"Sensei, you don't have to," Sakura whispered, but Kakashi insisted. He entered the kitchen, calling Sasuke to join.
"You know, I could use another hand in the kitchen here," Kakashi said playfully, taking out pans and utensils. Sasuke complied, and Sakura brought out two aprons.
"These will help!" Sakura chuckled, handing them the aprons before leaving the kitchen. Sasuke wore his, despite its pastel pink color and floral design. Kakashi hesitated but followed suit, determined by Sasuke's example.
"Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I'd be doing this," Kakashi sighed, his tone carrying a sing-song quality. Meanwhile, Sasuke appeared resolute in his determination to cook a meal for his wife.
Sasuke shrugged nonchalantly, unpacking the groceries onto the kitchen counter. "Tomatoes are versatile," he replied simply.
With a resigned sigh, Kakashi donned the apron, glancing around the kitchen.
"Alright, then. Let's see what we can make with all of this."
As Sasuke began chopping tomatoes with precision, Kakashi searched through the cabinets, pulling out various ingredients. "Looks like we have pasta, garlic, onions, and some herbs," Kakashi noted, laying them out on the counter.
Sasuke nodded, his focus entirely on the task at hand. "We can make a simple tomato sauce," he suggested, his hands moving swiftly as he worked.
Kakashi grinned, impressed by Sasuke's cooking skills. "Alright, you're the boss," he said, rolling up his sleeves. "I'll start boiling the water for the pasta."
Together, they worked in harmony, each taking on different tasks. Sasuke stirred the simmering sauce while Kakashi boiled the pasta to perfection. The kitchen soon filled with the aroma of garlic and tomatoes, creating an inviting atmosphere.
As they plated the meal, Sasuke couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Despite his initial reluctance, cooking with Kakashi had turned out to be an enjoyable experience.
Just as they finished setting the table, Sakura entered the kitchen, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight before her.
"Wow, you two cooked?!" she exclaimed, a smile spreading across her face.
Sasuke nodded, a rare hint of pride in his expression.
Sakura's eyes glistened with gratitude as she took her seat at the table. Together, the three of them shared a delicious meal, filled with laughter and warmth.
As they savored each bite, Kakashi couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected bonding experience. And for Sasuke, it was a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful moments were found in the simplest of gestures – like cooking a meal for the ones you love.
"This is really delicious, Sasuke-kun, sensei!" Sakura exclaimed with her mouth full, brimming with happiness.
Sasuke smirked and glanced at Kakashi, who was on the verge of removing his mask. Sakura carefully focused on Kakashi as Sasuke activated his Sharingan, determined to see Kakashi's face. With a swift motion, Kakashi removed his mask, revealing his face, leaving the couple stunned.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura gasped, pointing at his face. Sasuke, too, was taken aback.
"Isn't it about time I show you guys how handsome I look?" Kakashi chuckled to himself, glancing at Sasuke.
"Not as handsome as you," Kakashi said, looking at Sasuke. The three of them enjoyed their time together.
