Hi! I hope you like this story. It is entertaining to write this story and i love when I can make people laugh. Anyway have a nice day and enjoy!

Travis Mara Takeru sighed for the second time today as he navigated his way through the thick fog in his slightly used Range Rover white mud stained vehicle. Travis promised that he would clean the car once he got where he was going. He gripped the steering wheel tightly as he passed some bright white street lamp post built to let boats know where the bridge was at. The one Travis was driving on right now. He couldn't help but sigh after just getting off his flight from the Netherlands to here and then driving all the way to his home town called Dark Woods Spring in the dark. To top it off he was driving on a concrete bridge that went to the mainland to his hometown which was on an island. If Travis slipped up; his vehicle and himself could go into the sea. Travis told himself in his head as he drove to distract himself from that negative thought that his hometown was work related and nothing else. He didn't really want to go back to his hometown, but the situation in which he found himself in left him not many options.

He was fired from his job in the Netherlands, asked by a friend to come here for an assignment, and fled a bad relationship on top of that. So to say his mood right now wasn't cheery as most folks would be, also the unexpected fog put him in even worse mood. He couldn't see clearly in front of him for about two feet because of the fog. He didn't have much clothes with him ;not that his ex girlfriend would let him have his clothes. Hell! He was lucky enough to have his money and other belongings with him that he got. He had to sleep in his clothes that he had on for past couple of days. He had in the back of his vehicle maybe seven to eight boxes worth of stuff.

Just when he thought it couldn't get any worse his phone rang out in the passenger seat beside of him. The ring tone alone let him know who it was..his mother..great..just great! Travis sighed again for the third time and said in a even tone out loud "Siri! Hang up on my mum!" Then Travis said out loud after his phone hung up on his mum "Siri! Send a message saying that I am sorry! I am driving and that it is foggy. Maybe we can talk tomorrow when I get the chance to?" Siri responded back with "Ok! Sent message to your Mum."

He was not in the mood to deal with his mother right now. Travis didn't hate his parents, but they can get on his nerves sometimes constantly calling him none stop. His mother and father probable heard how he lost his job as well as getting kicked out by his ex-girlfriend! Great! His mother either wanted to call him to complain about his dad, tell him about his mistake,or maybe she was actually concerned for him for once instead of trying to complain to him. Although Travis knew his mother probable was concerned in her own way but she didn't like to show it.

He focused back on the road. His lights shining in the foggy road. Travis saw the black road like always with the yellow lines for dividing lanes that glowed by the headlights from his vehicle. He looked back in his review mirror and his eyes were glowing because of the streetlights hitting on them. His phone was an orange colored I-phone, one of the newer models he couldn't remember which one it was. A newspaper sat folded up in the orange leather passenger seat beside him as well. He slowed down the vehicle once he realized he was speeding up a little too much.

The old disk he put in the stereo earlier played in the background as he turned on his brights  to see more clearly. His black hair falling in his eyes and he pulled his hair out of his face using one of his hand before putting it back on the steering wheel. Travis noticed that he was getting closer to the island because the fog was getting less thick, plus he saw the shadow of the island looming ahead in the darkness. As he got closer to the island his demeanor changed from tense to slightly less tense. Exhaustion was setting in as he hadn't had much sleep before coming over here. Being a detective has its draw backs he supposed he thought in his mind as he felt his Range Rover tires hit dirt.

He then slowed down more as he was jolted around as his SUV hit the pot holes in the dirt. Finally! Travis saw through the fog as he passed a big white and green sign saying "Welcome to Dark Woods Spring!" He saw shadows of the forest that surrounded almost the entire town. Travis knew this forest was here for decades which was really, really, really old. He then hit the town in a couple of minutes after driving on the unpaved road. Travis slow down even more to follow the speed limit, because of the rules being installed into him as a teenager at the age of 16. He didn't look around much since he was tired, and because he was going to do that tomorrow anyways.

Along the way though he sis see people stumbling out of bars, or for a night stroll which was forbidden last time he was here. Travis wasn't going to think about that right now until tomorrow. He then moved on driving further away from the drunk people, and as he did Travis saw a female in a white dress with her thumb in the air on the side of the road. Her black hair covering half of her face. Her skin was deathly pale almost like a ghost. She wore no shoes on her feet either.  Travis said out loud "Hell No!" he sped up a little bit as he looked back into the review mirror. The lady was gone like she was never there in the first place that made him shudder as he thought I think I need to get to the house quicker.

As he stopped at red light Travis finally relaxed a little bit more he realized that he was close to the house. His knuckles becoming less white as his grip on the steering wheel loosened up to a normal level of grip that was optimal. Travis did see on the way to the house that the town didn't change much since he left. Although he did see some new buildings that were being constructed so there was some change. Then finally after several more minutes of driving got to his old home. Travis then got out of his SUV watching his footing as he did, and locked it before grabbing the keys to the house that he got before driving out here. He then proceeded to  headed inside the house that was dark. Travis didn't even turn on the lights as he just locked the door when he went inside. He knew his way around the house because it didn't change much or at all since he left. Travis hoped at least, that no one messed with the interior of the house because that would mean that this was not the right house and he would have to keep searching in the dead of night dead tired.

It seemed that Travis was in luck because there wasn't even a thing changed in the house. Lucky Travis knew where the bedroom was after all this time. He took off his shoes and fumbled his way into a bedroom not even looking at anything or taking in his surroundings. Travis fell asleep with his clothes still on. He never even knew that two glowing white eyes were staring at him through his window into the bedroom. He never saw the condensation fog up on the window or how something drew something quickly in the condensation. Then the thing smiled winked while putting a hand on the window. Then the window creaked open and a voice indistinguishable said "You are a moron for leaving your window open but it lets me look at you closer."

The shadowy figure then kissed Travis upon the head then as quick as it was there it was gone. The window was sealed shut like it never even happened the only thing that was evidence was a single leaf on the floor.
