A Foxy Detective!

Chapter 13

The woman just giggled and then she fluttered her eyelashes at Travis who tried not to blush but was failing. She smelt really great like cherry and he could smell a whole bunch of magic coming off her but he didn't know if she was shifter or something else. Travis then stared into her eyes and it was like the world paused and it was only him and her in it. He shook his head and his fox reared up in his mind and was running around chanting something really fast he couldn't keep up. He then heard his fox after it settled down and he was scared after his fox said "She is the one! She is our mate!" He was also kinda happy but he never thought he would meet his mate here and now...naked.

Travis gulped and his thoughts were shattered as his mate began to speak with a twinkle in her eyes "You don't remember me Travis? Well I mean we were kids since way back then but still I would think you would remember me. I guess maybe you might remember me after I tell you my name it's Marie Hana Fumiko!" Marie said with a smile that made Travis fox want to do somethings to her to make her smile and more. He shook himself and told his fox to behave himself.

 Travis smiled and said "I am sorry I don-" Just then he remember bit's and pieces of some foggy memory of himself in the woods and meeting a naked girl that was the same age as him. He then said something and the girl responded but he couldn't tell what they were say then the memory went away. He then looked at the woman before him and saw that yes it was the same girl he saw in the memory. "I do remember some what that I met a female in the woods who was the same age as me underneath this willow tree but I don't remember all of it which is concerning. I think I need to have my head checked for spells that blocked my past memories."

His fox growled as he agreed and if that was the case then some one was going to pay playing with his memory was a huge offense and would land the person or more than one person behind bars. Marie pouted but then she smiled got up walked over to his right side and sat down pressing her shoulder against his and said "I fear that someone may have tampered with your mind and if so then they will pay. Now onto why I am here is simple I am your eye witness along with another person who lives in the water but I will not say who that person is for there safety."

Travis was shocked and then he smacked his forehead with the palm of his right hand as he thought why else would Marie be here where his eye witness wanted to meet. Now his job has gotten even more difficult because his mate was an eye witness and who ever wants to keep this quiet would have to kill her to do it . Travis thought to himself "Mates was someone you meet that completes you entirely. There have been cases where a person can have a second mate if there first one died peacefully or tragically although Travis would not like to find that out."

Travis thoughts went out the door when he felt a pair of lips on his left side of his cheek and his face went up in temperature. He looked at Marie who was blushing a little bit in her cheeks "I know that look Travis! It's the look you get when you are unhappy and I don't like that look. Listen I know who the killer that is 100% true I can probably protect myself and be safe but I think staying with you at your house would be better than walking around by myself. So why don't we talk more inside your house and then see where things go form there." 

Marie stood up and Travis had to literally shove his fox back down as he heard in his head "I know what we can do with are mate!" His fox showed images of him and Marie in bed doing the horizontal tango. His fox then showed him what he would do all night long. That's when shoved his horny fox down and told him "I don't need to complicate things even more by sleeping with an eye witness! They would decide to take him off the case and our mate will be unprotected." Travis stood up and he heard Marie gasp before giggling again and he could tell what she was laughing at right now. 

He looked at her and he sighed "Look can you at least not try a maw me until this case is done then we can go on a date and stuff. I don't want to pulled off the case because it's personal." Marie turned around so quickly he thought she would get wipe lash and she didn't cover herself up which didn't help things at all. She then glared at him and put a hand on his chest were his heart was at "Listen Travis! I will not maw you seduce you into bed until we don't get up until the next more but never and I mean never will I maw. I will comply with you for now but that doesn't mean I won't stop trying to get into your bed. I have marked you all those years ago as mine and mine alone! How and why well that just has to stay a secret love until you get your memories back."
