Chapter 29

In the early sunrise Travis woke up looking up at the cold sky. He felt happy and care free for the first time since he got here. He looked down and saw that he was covered in a thick wool blanket to keep the cold from him, he then felt movement off to his side. Travis looked and saw that it was Marie squirming underneath the blanket cuddling closer to him with her head on his naked chest. He saw that Marie pulled some of the blanket off her showing her naked back to the world, Travis grabbed the blanket and pulled it over her so she wouldn't be so cold.

Travis then looked off to his right and saw his and Marie clothes folded up with there phones on top. That is when his was interrupted Marie's phone going off which made Marie squirm in her sleep. Travis decided to answer the phone so it didn't wake her up because she seems like she need more sleep. He flicked the phone on and saw that it was Lacy Travis's ex girlfriend, he hesitated for a moment before sighing and answering the phone.

Travis heard sniffling on the other end "Marie? Is this a bad time to call, I want to tell you something but if you are busy I understand..You there? Marie?"

Travis decided to speak up with a whisper "Sorry Marie's is sleeping right next to me Lacy. If you want to talk to her I get her up for you. Listen I don't know what you guys are talking about and I don't want to know until you both are ready to tell me until then I hope that you and Marie become great friends because she doesn't have many female friends."

Lucy spoke up in a panic "No! No! Don't wake her up if she is sleeping just..let her sleep. Me and Marie we are friends and I am enjoying talking to your mate by the way congrats for find your mate. Listen Travis I am sorry I was a horrible girlfriend, I am sorry that I was so greedy that I thought I could get things from you...I such a bad dragon...I-I..I am so bad that..I am sorry that I cheated on you..I waited to break before dating again but ...it..I..the..L-Let's just say I know what broken heart means now. I wish I had what you had a mate that loves me but he...Never mind that is not important. I just wanted to say that I am a bad person in gen-"

Travis tired of the words that hurt his heart coming from Lucy's mouth. She not at all herself like she was before whatever happened when he left to come here broke her heart with in a couple of days. "Listen Lucy! Don't ever and I mean ever say that you are a bad dragon. What we had may have not been perfect but that was okay. We never hit each other or yelled at each other, sure our love didn't last long but I am glade that it happened the way it did. I would never have met Marie and fallen in love with my mate if I didn't punch my boss and break up with you. So no you are not a bad dragon just lost and that is okay too because when you are lost it usually takes us to the fated mate or partner when we are at our lowest. Listen my cousin she maybe mad at you but I will call her so you and her can chat like old friends you used to be. I am sad to hear you are broken hearted but know this it will get better, you will heal Lucy."

Lucy laughed as she sniffled still "Thank you! I ...I think I will take you up on that offer for talking to your cousin. I heard that you punched that creep of a boss in the face for eyeing your cousin and stalking her repeatedly. I can tell you that he is in jail now facing death row for some other charges and repeatedly stalking women. I know I didn't love you as much as I should have but I was happy with you. I can't tell you what all is going in my life but I can tell you that my father and me are not seeing eye to eye anymore. I don't think he even wants to see me anymore, I think no I know that I am done building up my walls it's time I am free and crack those walls. Do you want any of your stuff back while you are on the phone?"

Travis felt Marie lift her head off your chest blinking her eyes and looking around until she spots you and blushes kissing your cheek. "Lucy I think I have all that I need right next to me. Marie is up so I will hand the phone off to her but just know I am proud of where you are going even though I don't know all the things that are happening you are changing into someone that is happier."
