A Foxy Detective!

Chapter 9

Travis sighed as he stared at his friend on the couch who was snoring away like nothing was wrong with breaking into his house and sleeping on his furniture. Travis was holding the black case that he had gotten from the police department. He had just pick it back up from where he left it after he was wrestled by the three officers who were from a different police station in town. Travis then called Hanna and ask if she need her car or anything delivered to them while he was driving home. Hanna had replied that she usually just shifted into her snow leopard and ran through the woods with her clothes in her mouth.

Travis heard Ted telling him that won't be a problem anymore since she can use his car anytime she wants. He hung up on them and drove through town and got him some fast food before he got home. When he entered his door he saw that his friend was on his couch. He just shook his head and headed into his bedroom to change his clothes. He changed into casual wear which was black shorts, white shocks with blue slippers, and a blue loose shirt that said "This fox got a big bite!" When Travis looked at the shirt he remember his cousin had picked out of all the shirt this one in a blind guessing game.

He then walked back towards the couch and with a white pillow in hand shove the pillow over his friends face. He was sitting on his friend not even using the force necessary to suffocate his friend for real. It took about a couple of seconds before he heard the growl before he was thrown off his friend with the pillow in hand onto the floor. He stared up at a glaring friend and he just smiled then said "I told you last time you did that I would use the pillow on you like before. You could have called and told me but instead you barged into my house."

David continued to glare and then he said "Brother of shifters! I remember you said you would do that but I thought you were joking besides I didn't know that you would try a suffocate me for real!" Travis saw that he was starting to get real angry and smoke was coming out of his nose which happened more often than not.

Travis then waved his hands and then said in a calm voice "David! I was not actually suffocating you I just wanted to mess with you is all. I wouldn't intently try and hurt you! I pulled my strength back when I covered you with the pillow! Anyway I know you could see me as one of your eyes was open your defenses were down which let me know you were awake and waiting. You threw me off with little strength meaning that we both playing around just now." Davide just smiled and he then began laugh a clear bell like laugh that had know to drag sailors to there watery grave before.

David was in fact not a serine but a dragon. Travis doesn't know what type of dragon he is though, although David would tell anyone within hearing distance that he was a dragon. He was happy to be a dragon the same that Travis was happy to be a fox. Travis then thought about the first time he shifted and his animal side that lived inside of him came out and took over his mind. David then stared at Travis and he realized he was saying something to Travis who didn't catch what he was saying.

He then snapped back to the present and said to David "What did you say sorry I was not paying attention to what you were saying."

David just smiled at Travis as he was used to this from him "I said you must have wanted to speak to me for you to wake me up the way you did or else you would have left me alone to sleep on the couch?"

Travis nodded to David "Yeah my partner was arrested and put in jail, I discovered a murder today and an old case is connected to this. On top of that you have been signed up to be my partner for by me and the captain. He wants you to come in tomorrow and get a good look at you. If you are approved by him then we will go to the coroner then to ask about the body. I have the older case file in my jacket pocket. I was almost arrested today by some local officers so I am going to put up the wards just in case we might have unexpected guest that may show up."
