"You sure this is the place, miss?" The driver asked, stopping in front of the forest where Camp Half Blood was located. The Mist was heavy for mortals, so they couldn't see the Camp entrance. He thought for sure that we were in a cult in the middle of the forest, where we would smoke and sacrifice an animal. I don't judge him for thinking that, what three teenagers would do in a forest?
"Yes, I'm sure." Annabeth said, giving him the money and getting out of the car. Annabeth got out and I slid through her side, mumbling thanks to the driver. I noticed Maria pulling down her skirt, walking by Annabeth's right side while I followed on her left.
"I need to talk to Clarisse," Maria said as soon as we entered camp. I frowned at her, watching her roll her eyes. "What?"
"You, talking to Clarisse?" I pointed at her and then at some random place at camp.
"She's cooler than you," She shrugged, starting to walk. "We're planning on how to get rid of some son of Poseidon," waving her hand, she smiled. "See y'all later for the hearing!"
Annabeth smiled, looking at me who had an angry face. "You know she's joking, right."
"She's too annoying, why are we keeping her?" I complained like a little kid.
"She's not our mascot, Percy. She's our friend," Annabeth rolled her eyes. "I'll let Chiron know you're here. Go take a shower, you smell bad." She patted my arm.
"I don't—" I smelled my shirt. "Okay, I do."
"I know." She made an 'I was right' face. "After that, go meet Chiron, he'll want to talk to you before the hearing." She waved and started to walk away, leaving me at the top of the hill.
"What hearing?" I said louder, but she was already far away to hear me. Or maybe she just ignored me... which could be the right option.

After the shower, I decided to go the training arena, the place I would always go when stressed. That, my friends, is the reason I am the best at sword fighting. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially Maria, she's lying.
The problem is, when I got there I saw something unusual. A hellhound the size of a tank lied in the middle of the arena like that was the most comfortable place for it. Thank gods it wasn't on the Strawberry field, or we wouldn't have any strawberries left.
Uncapping Riptide, I charged to attack it, being blocked immediately by another sword. Clang! The sound made, getting the attention of the hellhound.
"Woof!" It barked, sitting up and tilting its head.
"Woah there, young men!" The man said, still with his sword up.
"That's a hellhound, it shouldn't be here!" I warned, my voice cracked as I widened my eyes at the man.
"That's Mrs. O'Leary, she's harmless, you don't need to worry," He grinned.
"Woof!" The pet barked like it agreed with its owner.
"Now, I couldn't let you stick that sword on her, she's my pet. It wouldn't be very nice, you know." The man lowered his sword, making me lower mine too. Still, I had my guard up, if anything happens I'm ready.
"Who are you?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowing.
"Oh, right! Hello, I'm Quintus." The man extended his hand.
"Percy Jackson." We shook hands, still with a frown on my face, "How did you—"
"Get a hellhound as a pet? Long story, but I can tell you that it involves too many meetings with death and big chewing toys." The man smiled, looking back at Mrs. O'Leary. "I'm the new sword instructor, by the way. Helping Chiron while Mr. D is away."
