🕊️

'Studying' already says everything. When we cross out the 'stu' we get the 'dying'.

My father enrolled me in a weird type of school. He wanted to keep me on the American system instead of enrolling me on one of the schools here. It was fine, I was already used to the learning methods from New York and I honestly didn't want to be around other people, especially because when my father said something about school, Adriana wanted to put me in the same Catholic school as Aurora.

I thanked the gods when my father said no because one; Uniforms. Two; The nuns at the school would probably hate me.

So every day I have a two hour session with my teacher on my father's laptop, and tons of homework to be submitted by Sunday.

But, having to do my work with Lucas and his friends yelling in the room right in front of mine is what makes it even worse. I sucked at reading, the words kept mixing themselves and my mind was processing in three different languages. English; Which the text is in, Portuguese; Because I kept distracting myself with the episodes of 'Monica and Friends' Aurora left playing on the TV, and Greek; Because it was always like that.

Add to that the fucking unbearable animal sound I keep hearing.

I had already left the room to study on the dining table but Lucas and his friends were speaking too loud. They were playing Call of Duty and the words 'Fuck off', 'Die you motherfucker' and 'Suck my dick' were what I could hear the most.

I admire Aurora for not copying her brother on that topic. I myself swear a lot, but boys are the worst at that.

I sighed, giving up on studying. Closing my notebook, I went to my room, decided to do something I loved.

I put on my short jeans, a black small shirt with "I ♡ Nerds" written on it and the black converse I painted a skull on. I got the bag I made out of crochet and put my wallet inside, along with my little bag of makeup, the keys to the house, a water bottle and my camera. Heartstopper was in the form of a silver wave around my arm, going well with the other jewelers I was using.

I knocked on Lucas's open door. He was seated on the chair in front of his desk with the monitor divided in two screens, one side was his and on the other side was from a boy seated on his bed. Miguel was playing and screaming desperately while Lucas punched his desk for losing.

Next to Miguel was an Asian girl, her name was Julia and she was a really cool person. She was laying down on the bed, concentrating on typing something on her phone. And lying on the floor was Thomas, the boy I had met a while back. He had a laptop resting on his belly while he kept clicking the same button forcibly concentrated.

These kids nowadays only know how to be on the internet. Tsk.

When Miguel lost, he punched the mattress and startled Julia, who gave him a slap on the back of his head. No one seemed to hear my knock on the door. When I was about to call Lucas, Thomas said, "Hey, son of a bitch, your sister wants to talk to you."

So delicate.

Lucas threw one of his pillows on Thomas's face, who only replied with his middle finger.

"How can I help you today?" Lucas said, spinning on his chair.

"How can I help you forever, gatinha?" Miguel winked and received a kick from Julia who said, "Leave the girl alone, Miguel, damn."

The two started on a little fight, laughing as Julia started to tickle Miguel's torso.

"Do you know where I can buy fabrics?" I asked, turning my attention to the boy who had given the controller to Julia so she could play with Miguel.
