Abhimanyu paced back and forth in his bedroom, consumed by guilt. "No, what did I do? Did I just hurt the person I love?" The thought gnawed at him relentlessly as he struggled to comprehend his actions. With each step, the image of Siya's tear-stained face haunted him, a painful reminder of the hurt he had caused.

Abhimanyu paced back and forth in his room, overwhelmed with guilt. "What did I just do? Did I really hurt the person I love?" The thought gnawed at him, and with every step, Siya's tear-streaked face replayed in his mind, a painful reminder of his mistake.

When his phone rang, he glanced at the caller ID—Dhruv. He hesitated, knowing Dhruv would want answers he didn't have. So, he ignored the call, trying to escape the tough questions swirling in his head.

"Abhimanyu, Dhruv's here to see you," Aarti called, completely unaware of the storm brewing inside her son. "Tell him I'm busy," Abhimanyu replied, not wanting to let his mom see his red eyes.

"Abhimanyu, that's not cool. I'm sending him up," Aarti insisted. He quickly scrambled to lock the door, but Dhruv burst in before he could.

"You can't dodge this forever, Abhimanyu Singhania. You have to face it," Dhruv said, his voice serious. "Now spill it. Why are you avoiding Siya? You've been all about her since we became friends."

"No way, Dhruv. Siya deserves someone way better than me, especially with my messed-up past," Abhimanyu shot back. "You're exactly what she needs right now," Dhruv argued. "Come on, don't push me. I've made my mind up," Abhimanyu pleaded.

"So you're just going to break Siya's heart? You can't deny how much your words hurt her," Dhruv pressed on. "Why couldn't you just say no? Why does make her regret being honest? You owe me some answers, Abhimanyu."

"Dhruv, I just can't do this," Abhimanyu sighed, flopping down onto his bed. "Dude, it's not just about rejecting Siya. It's about how long you're going to let this eat you up inside. How long are you going to punish yourself for things that aren't even your fault?" Dhruv said, sitting down next to him.

"But I can't risk hurting her, Dhruv. She deserves someone who can offer her a future without any shadows," Abhimanyu replied, his voice heavy with pain.

"And you really think she'd be better off without you?" Dhruv shot back, disbelief in his tone. "Abhi, you need to stop selling yourself short. You're way more than your past, man."

Abhimanyu stayed quiet, his mind a chaotic mix of doubt and fear. "You can't keep bottling this up, Abhi. It's eating you alive," Dhruv said, his tone gentle but serious. "You've got to confront your demons, let people in. You're not alone in this, man."

Abhimanyu looked down, grappling with his inner turmoil. Could he really find the courage to face his fears and let someone into the darkness that haunted him?
