"Hey Siya, what are you doing? Up for some company?" Abhimanyu's message lit up Siya's phone, his teasing grin practically jumping off the screen. "What?! No way, Abhi. I can't risk my parents finding out."
"I never said anything about involving them," he replied smoothly. "Okay, then what do I tell them? Why are you showing up at my door past midnight? It's not like we have exams to study for, Abhi."
"Chill, Siya. Just say I'm coming over to help with an assignment." "What assignment?" Siya shot back, her curiosity spiking. "You, helping with an assignment?"
Abhimanyu smirked through his text. "Who said you couldn't be the assignment?" "And how exactly are you planning to make me your assignment? Gonna write an essay on me?" she teased, a playful spark in her tone.
"Oh, absolutely, Siya," he replied, his amusement clear as day. Abhimanyu couldn't help but smile at Siya's innocence. It was one of the many things he adored about her, and yet, it was that very innocence that stirred something deeper in him—a desire to hear her whisper his name in ways she hadn't yet imagined.
"Goodnight, my darling," he texted. "Darling?" Siya replied, confused.
"Can't I call you that, sweetie?" Abhi shot back, grinning to himself. "You can. Wait, sweetie?"
"Yes, I know you're not used to these kinds of names." "I'm not... but I guess I could get used to it," Siya replied, feeling her cheeks warm. "You better get used to it, my love," Abhi said, knowing she was probably blushing furiously at his words, stumbling over what to say next if he were there in person.
"We'll have fun tomorrow." "Huh, how?" she asked, intrigued. "You'll find out soon," Abhimanyu replied, leaving just enough mystery to keep her wondering.
"What was he talking about, what fun?" Siya wondered, lost in her thoughts until she heard her mother calling. "Yes, Mumma?" she answered.
"Darling, we have plans tomorrow. It's a double date with Aarti and Karan. Would it be okay for you to spend the day with Abhimanyu?" Purvi asked. "Oh, so that's what he meant by fun. He knew all along," Siya thought to herself.
"Sure, Mumma, I'd love to," she responded, trying to keep her excitement in check. "You'd love to?" Purvi raised an eyebrow. "Of course, Mumma. It's not like I have any other plans, right?" Siya added playfully, trying to tone down her enthusiasm.

"Good morning, dear; we'll be leaving now. We expect to return by midnight," Purvi informed Siya, who was still deep in sleep at 5 a.m.
Knowing her daughter might not have heard her, she left her a message as a reminder. Virajas thought it would be best to call Abhimanyu to come over immediately after their departure so Siya wouldn't wake up alone.
