As the first rays of sunlight slipped through the tent's canvas, Tanya woke up. She stretched lazily, soaking in the calm of the morning, then quietly stepped out of the tent. She spotted Siya and Rajveer sitting on a rock near the campfire, chatting and laughing. Curious, Tanya wandered over, catching bits of their conversation.
Rajveer was mid-story, laughing as he said, "And then, out of nowhere, I ran straight into my boss! I don't think I've ever been that embarrassed."
Siya giggled, her face lit up with amusement. "That's so you, Bhai. Always getting into awkward situations."
Tanya grinned and plopped down on the grass beside them. "Morning, guys. What's so funny?" "Bhai's old stories from his Delhi days," Siya said, still giggling. "You should hear them—they're ridiculous."
Tanya laughed. "I can imagine. Oh, by the way, Siya, I've been meaning to tell you something. After exams, I'm thinking of applying to a university near yours in Delhi."
Siya's eyes lit up. "What? That's awesome! We could hang out all the time." Tanya nodded, looking thoughtful. "Yeah, it feels like the right move. Plus, it'd be nice to have you around. Speaking of Delhi, Dhruv told me he's set on getting into Maulana Azad Medical College."
Rajveer raised an eyebrow. "Dhruv? That's a tough goal, but if anyone can pull it off, it's him. He just needs to stay focused." Tanya's smile faded a little. "Yeah, he's really serious this time. He didn't take failing his first attempt well—it really broke him. But he's not giving up."
Siya reached over and gave Tanya's hand a comforting squeeze. "That's the way to do it. And you're going to do great wherever you go, Tanya. I'm just glad we'll all be in the same city."
Tanya smiled, though her eyes hinted at some worry. "I hope so. But I keep thinking... this trip might be the last time we're all together like this, just having fun. After this, everything's going to change."
Siya's expression softened. "I've been thinking about that too. And I can't stop worrying about Abhimanyu. He's going to be stuck in Alwar all by himself."
Rajveer gave her a reassuring look. "Siya, don't stress. Abhimanyu's tougher than you think. And he won't be alone—I'll be there. And we'll all visit him whenever we can."
Tanya nodded. "Exactly. Alwar's not that far from Delhi. We can plan meet-ups and trips—it'll be fine." Siya looked at them, feeling a little better. "You really think we can keep that up?"
Rajveer smiled. "Of course, we can. Life changes, Siya, but it doesn't mean you lose touch. Ya'll always be friends, no matter where you go."
Tanya tried to hold back tears, her voice soft. "I know. It's just hard to let go of these moments." Siya leaned closer, her voice steady. "We're not letting go, Tanya. We're just moving forward. And we'll make new memories together—wherever we are."
