Siya sat at their usual table in the school cafeteria, tapping her fingers nervously on the table. The thought of the upcoming board exams made her uneasy, but she tried not to think about it.

Dhruv and Tanya walked over, looking unusually serious. Siya looked up and immediately noticed someone was missing.

"Hey, where's Abhi?" she asked, trying to sound normal. Dhruv sighed and glanced at Tanya. "Alia brought him lunch," he said, his voice a little annoyed. "They're in the campus garden eating together."

Tanya frowned. "I asked Alia to join us, but she refused. She said she wanted to catch up with Abhi alone."

Siya nodded, hiding her feelings. "It's fine. Let's finish lunch, and we'll go see them after."

As they ate, Siya couldn't stop thinking about the past month. Alia had been around Abhimanyu a lot, always talking about their connection. Siya tried to ignore it, but the feelings of doubt wouldn't go away.

After lunch, they walked to the garden. From a distance, they saw Abhimanyu and Alia sitting on a bench, eating. Abhimanyu was listening to her, and just as Alia leaned forward to pick up her water bottle, it looked like she kissed his cheek. Siya froze, her heart sinking. She couldn't breathe for a moment. Dhruv and Tanya exchanged worried looks, seeing the pain in her eyes.

Abhimanyu looked up and smiled at them, unaware of how things looked. "Hey, guys!" he said cheerfully.

Alia quickly sat back and smiled sweetly. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" she said in a tone that wasn't as innocent as it sounded. She glanced at Siya, her eyes glinting. "That must have looked awkward." Siya clenched her fists, trying to stay calm, but her face gave away how hurt she felt.

Siya felt overwhelmed as emotions flooded her mind. Seeing Abhimanyu stay silent and not clarifying the situation only deepened her pain. She bit her lip, blinking back tears, determined not to cry in front of everyone.

Without saying a word, Siya turned and walked away, her steps heavy with heartbreak. She had planned to study at college after lunch, but now all she wanted was to go home and hide.

Abhimanyu watched her leave, a gnawing feeling of guilt twisting in his chest. He glanced at Alia, conflicted. "I need to go talk to her," he said, standing up.

But Alia gently grabbed his arm, her voice soft and pleading. "Abhi, don't. Give her some space. You promised Kaki you'd stay with me today, remember?"

Abhimanyu hesitated. He knew his mother had asked him to make sure Alia felt welcomed, but Siya's pain weighed on him. After a moment, he sighed and sat back down. "Fine," he muttered. "Maybe she needs time."
