Alyssa's POV

"Matt, I have something I need to tell you."

Here it goes.

Everything in the room stays silent, well everyone and Tori is holding Quincy.

"I'm retiring from my singing career." I finally got it off of my chest.

"What?" Matt asks.

"I'm sorry that you are mad about it, but-"

"I'm not mad, I'm happy. I get to see you way more than when you were on tour," he cuts me off.

"You're not mad?" I question. He shakes his head as if replying with a "no". "Okay."

"I guess that I will need to get a job now," Matt says.

"Oh, you can work with me at the airport in Evansville. They're hiring," Jack J says.

"Yeah, I might try it out. Thanks man," Matt tells him.

"No problem."

Matt?" I say as is et the sleeping Quincy in his crib.

"Yeah babe?" He looks at me.

I slide into bed and snuggle into his chest.

"Do you feel like our lifes are going down the right road?" I ask him.

"What do you mean?"

"Like, do you think everything going on right now is a good thing? Tori and Grace living here? The boys over here most of the time? How do you feel about it all, Matt?" I ask while looking up into his eyes.

"I love how everything is right now. It seems like we are all a good big old happy family," he answers truthfully and we don't talk for the rest of the night.

I eventually fall asleep, letting light snores escape my mouth without even caring if Matthew heard them.

I agree with him. Everything is going great now and most likely will keep on like this. Or so I thought. I never knew that something so terrible could happen to a brought together family like us.

-A quick update for now. Not as long as the last couple, but oh well. It will have to do, I guess.
