Professor Fig's Classroom

The next day Lara grabs the book and goes to see Professor Fig. When she gets to his office she finds him talking with another professor.

Professor Sharp: "You cannot be serious. Goblins working with Rookwood? Makes no sense."

"Course he isn't serious, I'm Sirius."

"Thank the universe Sirius never had kids, I already have my hands full with the Weasley twins. If I had to deal with Sirius Jr. on top of that I would just quit." Minerva groans to Dorea and Pomona.

"At least Miss Potter's pranks are not as bad as her father and his friends." Pomona says, despite only being at Hogwarts for a few weeks Elizabeth has gained a reputation for her childish pranks like the time she placed a disillusioned whoopie cushion on Professor Flitwick's chair. Thankfully, her pranks have been relatively harmless and not as frequent as the Weasley twins, so she hasn't gotten in too much trouble.

Professor Fig: "It is - rather unorthodox, to say the least."

Professor Sharp: "Unorthodox? It's inconceivable. It's -" He notices Lara.

Professor Sharp: "- ah, Fig. You have a visitor. I'll see what I can find out." He limps away.

Lara: "Sir - I was able to search the Restricted Section while you were with Professor Black. It was a book we were after."

"Hey professor, I went to that place I'm not allowed to go to just thought you should know." Fred and George joke, people chuckle at the way they word it.

Professor Fig: "What? That's - wait. You accessed the Restricted Section? But how -? Thinking on it, perhaps it's best you spare me the details."

Lara: "Fair enough. In fact, the book was below the Restricted Section, as it appeared on the map."

Professor Fig: "I want to hear everything. First, let's have a look!"

She hands him the book and they take a look through it, however they soon discover that two pages have been torn out.

"Crap!"

"Knowing this family's luck, I bet the book is pretty much useless without those missing pages." Lily groans.

Professor Fig: "Oh - oh, dear. Some of these pages seem to be missing. It appears someone has got to the book before us. Still. I will need time to study what remains. Perhaps we can still salvage something useful, though it may take some time. I wonder why it was here. Below Hogwarts."

Lara: "I think I know, sir. I saw two more memories where I found the book."

Professor Fig: "Another Pensieve? Godric's heart."

"What's so special about Godric's Heart?"

"Actually, now that I think about it aren't Pensieves very rare, yet we have seen two so far?" Remus asked.

"You are correct Remus, they were often buried with their owner when they died due to the memories they contained." Dumbledore explained.

Lara: "The man we saw before - Percival Rackham - was a professor here. The first memory showed him and three other professors using ancient magic to restore a hamlet from a drought."

Professor Fig: "Miriam was right. And the second memory?"

Lara: "They were talking to a student who started as a fifth-year - like I did. She could see traces of magic too."
