Forbidden Forest
Lara meets with Poppy in the Forbidden Forest, she says she knows where they can find the centaurs, when Lara finds her Poppy seems to be very anxious.
Poppy: "I can do this. I can do this. They will want to help."
Lara: "Is this where we're meeting the centaurs?" Poppy jumps, having not seen her.
Poppy: "Well, they don't exactly know we're coming, so it's less of a meeting and more of a surprise. I suppose?"
"They won't like that." Hagrid comments.
Lara: "Once we tell them about the Snidgets, they'll understand why we came and they'll want to help."
Poppy: "I hope you're right. Perhaps they'll be able to tell that we're sincere. There's something about them that's so knowing. It's almost unnerving."
Lara: "I suppose they are known for having an air of omniscience."
Poppy: "That's exactly the right word. I just - never mind."
Lara: "What is it?"
Poppy: "It's nothing. Truly. I've - we've no secrets to hide."
Lara: "That's right. We'll simply be honest with them about what we're trying to do. They'll have to help us, won't they?"
Poppy: "Yes. Of course. You're absolutely right. We'll meet with them, tell them about the Snidgets and I'm sure it'll all be fi -"
The girls hear a distant rumbling noise, a moment later several centaurs appear out of the fog and surround them. Lara instinctively draws her wand, but Poppy pushes her hand down so as to not give the centaurs a reason to attack.
Lily starts shaking, fearing for her daughter's safety.
Elek: "What do you think you're doing here, humans?" One of the centaurs presumably their leader steps forward, he doesn't look happy to see them.
Poppy: "Please, we were hoping to speak with you -"
Elek: "Ah - I suppose you'd like a tale for your friends of the time you spoke a centaur and 'it' spoke back."
Poppy: "No, never. We're here because we need your help -"
Elek: "Enough. You made a grave error in judgement in coming here, little witch."
He signals the other centaurs who all pull arrows and draw ready to fire on Elek's signal.
"NO!" Lily screams.
Much to Lily and the others' relief, someone stops them.
Dorran: "Leave them be, Elek. We do not harm the young; it is not our way."
