Well, here we are, the end of the road. On one hand I'm happy but at the same time I'm also sad. I can't believe how quickly these last few months have passed. It's been close to 4 months since I started uploading and almost 6 months since I started recording my playthrough and began writing the rough draft. The last third of the story seemed to go by so fast that before I knew it the game's story was over.
I still can't believe how many views this story received. 113k views! #1 Reaction, etc. I was convinced that this story would only get a couple of views and I would be sad and feel like all my hard work was a waste. I was shocked when I saw the view counter at 300 within the first two days and again when it doubled at the end of the second day. I cannot thank you guys enough for your support. I've said this multiple times, but story writing is not something I'm very good at nor is it a hobby of mine, so writing a wtm style fanfic for a video game as my first fanfic was very ambitious. Trying to describe everything in a way that someone who hasn't played the game can follow was hard (my own changes probably made that even harder), I didn't want to spend a lot of time on the fights and exploration, so I tried my best to keep them brief. I wish I came up with more reaction commentary because I feel like that was lacking at times, but I didn't want to have them discussing every point or detail.
Now, seeing as this will be the final part there is something I want to address. I have received several comments from people who were upset that I didn't have Lara learn the Unforgivable Curses. The reason why I didn't was because I felt it didn't fit her character, especially considering that Unforgivables only work if you mean it and Lara isn't the kind of person who wants to cause suffering to others. Yes, I could have done something like magic is magic its not light or dark but I couldn't think of a way to do that without getting close to Dumbledore bashing or something. Although I did consider adding some reaction dialogue during Niamh Fitzgerald's trail, specifically when she says there is no light without darkness just as there is no darkness without light, just because you can eliminate darkness doesn't mean you should (or something like that), but I couldn't think of anything.
I didn't plan on mentioning this but seeing as this is the end of the fic I might as well. Elizabeth's middle name, Rosalina, was inspired by Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy.
I want to give a shout out to two HP fanfics that may have partially inspired some aspects of my story:
Rose Azure (Wattpad) is a female Harry story in which Vernon leaves baby Rose (femharry) in a forest where she is found and adopted by elves (This story hasn't been updated in years; I assume the author has discontinued it so please don't bug them about it.)
Kassandra Potter-Agiad Queen of the Spartan Empire by Revan Shan 2077 (fanfiction.net) is a crossover story where Kassandra Potter (femharry) is sent back in time, she is found and adopted by Leonidas.
I have enjoyed this whole experience and I'm sad to see it end. I don't know when or if I will do another fanfic, but I just wanted to thank you guys for giving my story a chance. Enjoy some final unused art from Haunted Hogsmeade, speaking of Haunted Hogsmeade I originally thought about having Lara be on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team but I didn't like the idea of Lara doing anything and everything so I changed it to Natty instead.
