"Fine. Fine Hikari. You're assigned to the Sim Case. It's official." Yongpil stated, and I stood upright from my chair, my eyes widening and a smile gradually forming on my face.

"Are you serious? No games?" The quick pacing in my heart fulfilled me with all the energy I'd need for the rest of my life.

"No games, BUT, under one condition." Yongpil - of course - had to give me two sides to this.

"What now." I sat back down, monotone and looking less excited than five seconds ago.

"You can try and crack this case, but the moment it requires you to risk your life, you have to drop it." He gave his offer, and I just let out a small sigh.

It was a small price to pay I suppose, I couldn't imagine myself backing out of a case, it just gave me embarrassment even imagining it. I never backed out, none of my cases ever went unsolved.

So if I backed out of this, it meant that I was a pussy, and it'd be my first unsolved case.

In hell would I let that happen.

"Sure sure, alright, we have a deal." I was still excited over the fact I was granted permission to begin instigating into the case.

I stood up, about to skip my way out of his office with such joy, but as I reached for the handle of the door, Yongpil spoke again.

"Hikari." His tone was slightly shaky, "I mean it. I know you take pride in your abilities, but the second your life is endangered, you have to resign from the case."

I looked at him, giving a reassuring glance.

"Yes Yongpil, I heard you the first time." And with that, I skipped out of his office, absolutely overjoyed with the offer I just got.

My co-workers in the division were looking at me as if I was insane, but this was probably the norm for them, they knew I was missing a few screws up there when it came to my job.

I stopped at nothing, and everybody knew that I was a force to be reckoned with.

I head to my office, grabbing a thin document that I had hoarded for ages. It was small leads as to who this Jaeyun person was, and his clan and whatsoever, I never had the allowance to pin it the papers to my board, but now since, I'm officially involved in this case, I can begin to plot my first moves.

All I knew about Jaeyun and his clan, was not much, but I suppose I could begin to pull leads from there.

He has a hierarchy in his clan, and obviously that's a given, almost every mafia clan has something like that. But in specific, he had six guys just beneath him, and then the rest were his other men.

I had no idea of all their names, aside from one.

Park Sunghoon.

But then even with his name, there wasn't much I could do with it. Even scanning through records of all the Sunghoon's in Korea, there wasn't a guy who seemed remotely guilty of all these crimes committed.

Another thing, was a club that many believed for them to hang out in - collectively.

It was a prestigious club, invitation only, and even if I managed to get in, it wasn't a guarantee that they'd be there, so that would be a hard thing to confirm.

But again, it was a lead, and that's exactly where I was starting while the forensics were attempting to identify the bodies and see if they can contact any relatives.

I sat down at my desk, searching up the club. And oddly enough, no results came up, yet many spoke about this so-called, 'club'.

There was no locations on google, no images or pictures, only random links that had nothing to do with any prestigious clubs.

How the fuck was I supposed to find them if the club doesn't exist online?

I gave a small huff, furrowing my brows and then reminding myself that Jaewook exists. He was skilled in finding things even if they're buried deep in the internet.

I grabbed one of the document sheets, heading out of my office swiftly. People still looked at me as if I was crazy, they had probably been informed that I was in charge of the Sim Case.

I made my way into Jaewook's office, and he stared at me, a concerned look in his eyes as I looked at him for a favour.

Before I could ask him of anything, he spoke instead.

"Hikari, you can't be possibly doing the Sim Case, that will be the way you'll die." Jaewook was evidently concerned, but I wasn't about to abandon a case that I've been wanting to handle all my life.

"So be it." I simply said, and without allowing the subject to continue on, I slid the document sheet which listed the details of the club from a witness, "I need you to see if such club with that description exists, I tried googling, but nothing."

Jaewook looked up at me, worry in his eyes, but he couldn't say anything to me that would make me change my mind. Instead, he gave a sigh, grabbing the sheet of paper on his desk and scanning it through.
