I made my way to the department, very quickly and eagerly. I had to know what they uncovered and what this may mean to me.
Although, at the same time, I prepared myself for absolutely nothing, if they tell me something I already know, I might just lose it.
"Hikari, we were waiting on you." Two of the pathologists were stood in the room, where one of the victims out of the fifteen, were laying in the middle of the room.
"What's up? You guys find anything?" I walked beside the body on the table, his upper half was covered with a thin sheet of blue linen. It was the guy who I had noticed had particular initials engraved onto his neck.
"Alright, so, I'm sure you've already seen the markings on his neck. Correct?" One of them asked, tilting the head of the guy slightly to show the first half of the marking.
I nodded my head, and the other pathologist went to the side, pulling out two sheets of paper.
"This is the man, we managed to identify him, and we can conclude that he does have relatives - alive - may I add." He handed me the papers, and I examined them very briefly.
Adrenaline coursed through my heart, the excitement returned to my body once more.
"Is that all?" I inquired, just to make sure.
"Mm, well, we did an internal investigation, and somehow, this ended up in his stomach." He grabbed a small duffle bag, and inside, a chain bracelet lay.
I furrowed my brows, how the fuck did he manage to swallow that whole?
I grabbed the small bag off him, nodding my head.
"Alright, thank you for this." I gave a small bow, before storming off back towards my division with my newly found evidence.
A fully intact chain bracelet found in his stomach? Jesus, this guy and his clan were ruthless.
I made my way back towards my office, sitting down and immediately reading through the man's details.
27 YEAR OLD - CHO YUNJAE
RELATIVES: CHO EMI (20)
CHO YUNAH (17)PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF FIREARMS, ATTEMPT OF DISTRIBUTING DRUGS
Jesus, this guy had a whole thing going on, but one thing I was primarily interested in, was his relatives, and their addresses.
Their phone numbers were listed too, but it'd be risky to call them, cause maybe they'd decline or never pick up.
With that, I searched up the address of the oldest sibling, analysing whether it'd be better to go now or later.
In the end, I decided to go now. I put on a bulletproof vest underneath my current clothes, and ensured that I had a loaded gun somewhere on me.
I head out of my office after notifying the higher-ups that I was going on a little work investigation. And I began my journey there, it was a small drive, so definitely wouldn't take too long.

Finally, I had made it there, and I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Were the family even informed yet of their brother's death?
I brought my hand to knock on the door, and hesitated for a moment, but quickly dismissed it over the realisation that every second I waste, the more crimes the Sim Clan can commit.
I knocked onto the door assertively, taking a shallow breath in before the door opened, revealing - what seemed like - the youngest of the two.
She had round eyes, staring at me in confusion, and as to who I was.
I pulled out my badge, the government stamped ID showing my rank. It was probably one of my favourite things to show people - that I'm a classified agent, and work with the most elite.
"Hikari Yoshida, I work for the Korean Intelligence Service. I'm here to talk to you about your brother, Cho Yunjae." I spoke, and as she heard the name of her brother, come out of the mouth of a high-ranked official like me, her brows knit upwards, fearful.
Her sister, joined her from behind, wondering what this commotion was about.
"Do you have time to talk?" I asked once more, they seemed to be both, in a state of shock and confusion, but regardless, they let me in with no questions asked.
I sat down, the two girls sat beside each other, holding their hands together. I cleared my throat.
"Let me get this correct, Cho Yunjae, is your brother?" I just had to make sure I was at the right place.
"Yes, he doesn't live here though. In fact, we don't even know where he lives, he just sometimes comes over." The older one spoke, and I gave a small sigh - knowing I'm going to have to break the news to her.
"I wish I wasn't the one to break this news to you, but your brother, Yunjae, was found dead among fourteen other victims." I bit my inner lip, watching the colour shrink from their face massively.
Their mouths agape, eyes widened, face pale and emotionless.
".. What? Yunjae is.." The younger one couldn't believe what she was hearing, and I felt like an asshole, just storming up to their house and breaking this news to them, but it had to be done.
"Yes, unfortunately, he was a victim of the infamous Sim massacre." I spoke lowly, trying to not seem too adamant on pressing them for more information on their deceased brother.
I let them grieve for a little moment before I continued.
