I pulled to the side of the road, wondering how I'm supposed to conquer this. The van drove past me, parking to the side of the curb a little further distance.

Whoever was doing this, was one hundred percent not slick.

I rummaged through my bag on the passenger's seat, quickly pulling out my journal and scribbling down the license place of the van, good thing my job allows me to easily access informations to vehicles and people.

I grabbed my phone, calling for my boss.

He picked up eventually, confused to my sudden call.

"Hikari? Something up?" He inquired, and I just gave a sigh, watching as the van remained stationary.

"I'm being followed." I started, and I couldn't even say anything more without Yongpil's panicked voice.

"What? Hikari? Who? Do you see their face, tell me all the details." He urged, his tone fast and adamant.

I just gave a chuckle, a small smile leaving my lips.

"It's a black van, I have the license plate, but they've been parked outside of my house and have followed my car on the way to work. I'm parked up on some random road cause I can't just come into the workplace being followed." I leant back, this was an interesting start to my morning.

Well, the second interesting thing to happen to me today. I haven't even clocked into my shift yet, and already, I've had a random called at some random time at night - and now I have somebody clearly following me.

They could've at least tried to make it not obvious. But nevermind.

I handed the details I had on me to Yongpil, he wrote them down, and gave a large sigh.

"If you can, try and lose the van, if you can't, go home Hikari - it's not worth it." Yongpil concluded, and I thought that it sounded reasonable.

Obviously I was going to try and lose the van, who do you think I am?

With that, I hung up, starting my car once more and hurriedly driving off. I tried my best to take obscure, fast corners, and ensured that I was in a region with many cars.

And eventually, I lost the van. It disappeared out of my sight and out of any nearby places that I was in.

I parked my car at the agency, heading out and looking around, just to be extra careful.

I was all in the clear, and heading into the building, I found Yongpil waiting at the front. His eyes brightened, seeing that I was all in one piece.

"Hikari! You made it, did you manage to lose the van?" He inquired, walking beside me to the special agent division.

"Yeah, really odd dilemma. I had a random number call me this morning too." I told him, and he thought to himself.

"Was the number displayed or hidden?" He asked as if I didn't already think of trying to track the number down.

"Hidden, I thought about tracking it down, but it'd take some time - and I'm not patient like that." I shrugged, walking into the division.

"I'll get Jaewook on it while you're working on the Sim Case, speaking of which, the autopsy company called, and they're requesting for you." Yongpil broke the news to me, and I shot my head to look at him.

This meant one thing, they had found something.

I nodded my head gently, walking into my own office and sitting down. Yongpil stood at my door, looking at my face.

"Do you want civilian protection? I have a bad feeling about this entire van scenario." He gave a small sigh as I chuckled at his earnest kindness.

"Yongpil, I have two guns stored in my fridge, and one under my bed, I'm sure that if anyone tried anything towards me, they'd end up getting the worst end of the stick." I calmly said, not phased at all by his fear.

Sure, it was odd to be followed and whatever, but it was like a norm to me. I was used to violence, and I was used to having people come after me because I put their ring lord in jail or something like that.

It's how it's always been.

"Alright, well, if you feel like you need extra safety, just say the words Hikari." And with that, my boss left my room, leaving me to think about this entire morning for myself.

I snapped myself out of my thoughts, realising I had to head to the autopsy department, because what they may say - could be a pivotal point in my investigation.
