"Thank you for staying, the girls loved it" Charlotte smiles as she leans against the door frame with Mia's hands in hers
"Yeah it was fun. Especially after they fell asleep" Mia winks causing Charlotte to blush. "I best get home, see you soon, sweetheart" her thumb brushes against the back of Charlotte's hand before she turns to leave.
Charlotte can't help the smile on her face as she walks back into the living room
"Mummy?" Isla stirs awake "Did Mia go?" Charlotte stokes her daughters hair soothingly
"Yes baby, go back to sleep" the girl closes her eyes in the comfort of her mother's touch.

Charlotte spent the whole Saturday lazing around with her daughters. They talked about their week at their dads and school. Ellie talked about the new books her auntie Claire brought her and Isla talked about her school play. Charlotte could listen to them ramble for hours on end without getting bored. She took in everything and enjoyed it all.
However, there was something else stuck in the back of her mind. Something she couldn't get rid off. A particular confident, alluring, stunning woman with wine stained hair and eyes you could get lost in forever. Mia.
