(Charlottes pov)
Mia left this morning and I can't stop thinking about what she said. She was totally manipulated by Roger and lost everything to do his bidding. It's awful. Maybe she wasn't the villain this whole time. She was just alone.
I have just arrived at home as I left early. I told Marjorie I didn't feel well after snapping at a parent. I didn't mean to. But she was just going on about disabled parking and I could not listen to it one more minute!
Honestly, I'm not sure what came over me. Normally I'm so calm even with the worst of judgemental parents. I just think everything is getting to me now. Thinking about what Mia said and Nathan and his little girlfriend and not seeing the kids. It's a lot.
Luckily, it's Wednesday so I get to call the girls when they get home from school today.

"Hi mummy!" Isla's face pops up on my phone screen,
"Hi sweetheart, how was school?"
"It was good. Ellie is coming!"
"Hi mum!" She comes into the camera's view,
"Hi lovely, how are you today?"
"We're okay. We really miss you"
"Yeah! I wanna go home. Ashley trashley won't let us do anything fun!" Isla complains. Ashley Trashley? Why is Ashley around the girls when I told Nathan no?
"Isla!" Ellie snapped
"Oops... sorry"
"What's wrong sweetie?"
"Nothing mum!" Ellie smiles
"Ellie?" She sighs. What is going on?
"Dad said we couldn't tell you Ashley is here" she whispers,
"Did he? Well I'll speak to daddy about that darling. No secrets, remember?" Both girls nods
"Mummy?" Isla perks up, "I don't like Trashley" she huffs.' Trashley' she never fails to make me laugh with her imagination
"Dad said you couldn't call her that either Isla!"
"Don't worry sweetheart, I'll see you very very soon, okay? And I'll speak to your dad. I don't like going this long without my girls"
"Me neither mum. Dad is never even here. Claire looks after us"
"What?!" What does she mean he's never there?
"We barely see him mummy. I want to stay with you all the time" Isla adds. I can't believe he's not there for his kids. He decided on this arrangement. He wanted the girls.
We talk for a while before getting off so they could go for bath time and bed. I am not happy about this at all. As if Nathan made such a fuss about seeing his girls and is never there for them? And Ashley? Ugh. I'm not having this.
