Ellie walks into the kitchen to see Mia standing at the counter,
"Morning Mia" she grunts as she slumps down in the chair
"Good morning sweetheart, how are you today?" She beams back
"Better. Thanks for last night"
"Anytime. Breakfast?" Ellie nods,
"Toast and Nutella?"
"Of course" Mia drops some bread into the toaster for the girl.
"Wait, where's mum?" Ellie asks after noticing she isn't running around as usual in the morning
"Sleeping in. She needed it"
"Huh. Bet she's gonna be mad when she wakes though" the girls laugh. They know how organised Charlotte likes to be, even with the stress of a Monday morning.
Mia spreads the chocolate over the toast before handing the plate over,
"I should probably wake Isla. And your mum" Ellie gives her a nod before she leaves.
...
Mia walks into the bedroom and watches Charlotte sleeping peacefully. Mia couldn't help but stand there and just admire the beauty before her.
Mia slowly moved to the edge of the bed and stoked the hair out of Charlotte's face. Charlotte is everything Mia wanted and more. She makes her feel a different type of loved. Comfort. She just couldn't understand why someone like Charlotte would like someone like her.
"Charlotte? Wake up, sweetheart" the woman started to stir and the soothing voice, "it's morning"
"What time is it?" The brunette mumbles, barely opening her eyes
"7:30"
"What?!" She shoots up, and almost instantly slides out of bed, "we are so late!" Mia couldn't help but smile at charlottes reaction as she scurries around the bedroom, "how did I sleep so late? Oh my gosh"
"Relax sweetheart. The girls are downstairs eating breakfast already, your good" Mia takes Charlotte's hand to calm the woman
"You made them breakfast?"
Charlotte calmed slightly. Mia made her girls breakfast? She thought it was adorable
"Thought you needed a lay in for a change" she smiles. That woman never fails to impress Charlotte
"Thank you. But you still should have woken me!"
"I'm sorry" Mia laughs. "I'll let you get ready, sweetheart" she kisses her head before leaving the room.
...
"Okay girls go get in the car" Charlotte tells her kids as she grabs the Keyes from the side table,
"Mia? Will you be here when we get home?" Isla asks. Mia smiles at her before glancing over at Charlotte,
"Maybe. But only if you're good at school and don't hit anybody"
"Hmm okay!" The little girl ran over to her mother and took her school bag, "bye Mia!"
The girls run out the door leaving Charlotte and Mia alone
"I have to go meet Reece later so I'll see you then?"
"Can't wait"
