29. That picture..

I'm in the staff room on my break when Reece sits down
"Hi Charlotte" he leans back on the chair and crosses his arms
"Back in the staff room again. Who are you hiding from today?" I ask
"I don't only come in the staff room to hide from people" I give him a look and he rolls his eyes, "Carly"
"Why are you hiding from Carly?"
"Because she's still swanning around the place dressed like Aut" oh. Right. I heard about that...

"It's weird seeing someone dressing up as my sister to make themselves more desirable. Ugh"
"Well, Autumn is a really attractive woman" I admit. She is very good looking. Not like I'd ever go for her of course! But she is very pretty.
"Am I gonna have to hide from you too?"

"Uh, Reece?" Eric walks in with a sling bandaged on his arm "I've installed that nightlight in the baby room" he says
"Great. Well, if you could get started on those chairs in the preschool room that would be great"
"Okay" he walks out and I look over at Reece,
"What happened to Eric?" I ask
"Uh, Eric was given some really bad advice" oh.

Before I can reply my phone lights up in my hand and I open the message from Mia
"I know that smile anywhere. How's Mia?" Reece asks
"She's fine" I reply back to her before looking at Reece. "Did you know she's on a beach at the moment?" Lucky
"Doesn't have to work and can just swan about on a beach all the time. Wow. Nice for some"
"Aren't you like super rich?" I ask. If he wanted to take a holiday he could. No issues. Plus his dad owns the nursery.

I get another notification but certainly did not expect that. She- oh-uh,
"The black bikini" I look up at Reece. What? How'd he- "that's what she's wearing in the photo, right?" He avoids my eyesight
"How do you know that?!"
"She must really like you" he replied
"Why do you say that?"
"Because it only makes an appearance when she's really trying to impress someone" wait...
"Wait so she used it on you?"
"No. We were in Antiqua about 10 years ago. There was a local woman that Mia pretty much fell in love with and was ready to run away with and she was tryna impress her and that was pretty much the first and last time I ever saw that bikini"

"Reece. I mean this really respectfully but, how did you not know she was a lesbian?" I ask
"I don't know, okay? Looking back it was so obvious" yeah. It really was.

...

After Reece left, I went back to my phone. Honestly, I didn't know what to reply with. That was...
I told her to call me later. And now I get to think about her, that picture, and our FaceTime later.
