Loving The Envy

Ch. 34

A Few Days Later:

I'm in a meeting with my men. There's a big shipment of weapons tonight and we have to be prepared for an attack. There's been word about war between my mafia and a Russian one. For that reason I haven't been around Envy or Emani. It's too dangerous and tense. Also someone in my mafia is a traitor because someone on the outside found out that Gionni works as a hacker for me and they stalked him, and attacked him. They didn't shoot him but they beat him up as a warning.

"So as you all may know we are in a war right now and the drop off is in the middle of the War Zone. We are well equipped to fight and take out any enemies. However, it's your life so be smart and cautious with how you move. We leave at 1. Dismissed!" I say sternly.

I predict a couple deaths on my side and I know exactly who will die because it's a set up. The predicted traitor Sivo, his brother Angelo, and two of my worst guards. The ones that allowed Gionni to be hurt.

Enzo, Anex, and I are safe in terms of immediate death. I'm not allowing Anex to come because I need him to protect the girls at a safe house with Alec and some of his men.

Enzo is a far away sniper with a couple other men that are my best shooters.

And I am in the front line. Though they won't kill me. The worst they'll do is abduct me if they can. Which will be almost impossible.

"Dude what happens if you get shot?" Enzo asks walking up to me.

"I'm the leader. Death is always the end result. But if I do get hurt I want you to take care of my girls." I say with a stoic look on my face.

I've been close to death many times and I've never been scared. All I want is for Emani and Envy to be okay. I don't care about anything else actually.

"Just be safe man." He says with a sigh and pats my back.

I nod and then we both leave the meeting room.

He goes to the training room and I go down to my room.

I quickly take a shower and when I'm done I get a call from Envy.

"Yeah?" I ask while answering the phone.

"Don't die okay, Mani really needs and loves you." She says with a sigh.

"And you?" I ask her

"Just be careful. Also I found a house to move in to. It's pretty close to where you live. It's 4 bedrooms and 3 and a half bathrooms. It's a nice house. You know I wa-" Envy says and then starts rambling.

I used to hate when she did that but now it's soothing me. I let her go on for a minute or two just talking.

"Envy I have to go. Kiss Mani for me. Tell her I love her and you get some sleep okay. It'll be fine." I say with a slight smile.

"Okay well let me FaceTime you so I can see your face. Just in case you lose an eye or something." She says with a laugh and FaceTimes me.

"I'm not gonna lose an eye. Let me see Mani." I say to her with a chuckle.

She gets up from where she's sitting and goes to the room the girls are in.
