When Tony and Layla arrived at the garage, they were met with Frostee who gave them a suspiciously wide smile. "Hey T, hey Layla." He said, "I've got something for you."
They both looked at Frostee skeptically. He looked like he was up to something. "What is it?" Tony asked.
"Two tickets to a local baseball game today."
    "Baseball?" Layla raised her eyebrow.
"Cisco and I were gonna go but... something came up and we can't go anymore." He seemed to struggle for a moment as he tried to explain himself. "But I don't want the tickets to go to waste so I'm giving them to you!"
"Do you even like baseball?" Tony asked Layla.
"That doesn't matter." Frostee said before she could respond. "I promise you'll both have fun either way!" He held out the tickets to them expectantly.
Tony sighed and accepted them. "So, when is it?" He asked.
"In an hour." Frostee said. "Have fun!" And with that he left leaving Tony and Layla slightly confused. But they shrugged it off.
"Looks like we're going to the game." Tony turned to Layla.
"Yay." She said sarcastically. She was not too interested in baseball, but she was looking forward to being able to spend time with him alone. And what she did not know was that Tony had the same thought.
When they arrived at the stadium, it was already packed. Just as they found their seats and settled down, the game began. As they watched the game, Tony couldn't stop himself from glancing over at Layla. Though the game was interesting, he could not seem to take his eyes off of her.
Suddenly Layla turned to him and he quickly looked away in embarrassment. But he immediately got even more embarrassed when he noticed what was on the big screen. It displayed live footage of him and Layla and at the top was the words "Kiss Cam".
Tony turned back to Layla to find her blushing just as much as he was as they awkwardly put a little distance between each other. The crowd started yelling words of encouragement, trying to coerce them into going along with it. Tony turned to the screen, shaking his head and making a "no" gesture with his hands.
The crowd booed in disappointment and the Kiss Cam moved on to a different couple. Tony glanced over at Layla. Her gaze was set far away, not staring at anything in particular, just specifically not looking at him.
He thought about saying something to her but decided that doing so would have been more awkward than saying nothing at all. They just needed some time to forget that embarrassing moment, then things would be less weird.
Just as he thought, a few minutes later after the game continued again, Tony noticed Layla relax more as she stopped trying to put up a little distance between them. But just when they were comfortable again and had almost completely forgotten what had happened, there was another break and the Kiss Cam was brought up again. And the first couple that was featured was none other than him and Layla.
The two of them immediately started blushing again, shaking their heads to show their refusal. The crowd started booing louder the longer they shook their heads. Eventually the Kiss Cam moved on, leaving Tony with a red face and hammering heart.
Each time the Kiss Cam came up, he could not stop himself from imagining what it would be like to kiss Layla. And the more he imagined it, the more he wanted to do it. But he had two problems. One, it was embarrassing. Two, Layla would never agree to it.
Though he wanted to kiss her, he did not want to do it if she did not want to. Besides, doing it in front of so many people would probably be too embarrassing for him to handle.
Yet despite their continuous refusal, during the next break, the Kiss Cam came back to them yet again. It was happening so many times, Tony was starting to feel like there was something funny going on.
The crowd cheered even louder than before, really trying to push them to do it. Layla began to shake her head again as Tony turned to her with a chuckle. "The cameraman seems to want us to kiss. Maybe we should." He joked. Layla rolled her eyes before turning away from him.
Tony felt slightly disappointed but shrugged it off. He knew she wouldn't want to. And it wasn't like he had gotten his hopes up or anything.
After the Kiss Cam moved on again, Layla's heart was still pounding. It had not calmed down once since the first time they were featured on the Kiss Cam. The thought of kissing Tony made her head spin in both a good and bad way.
If she kissed him, she feared that it would make things awkward between them. Even more than it already was. What if kissing was so awkward that it messed up their friendship? That was something she did not want to risk.
Tony was her friend. He saw her as a friend. Kissing would only be weird, even if she wanted to.
That was the only thing she could think about during the entirety of the game. She was only pulled out of her thoughts when the Kiss Cam came back up. She watched as it went from one couple to another, and then to her and Tony.
This time the crowd began chanting, "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
Tony looked over at Layla, watching as she stared straight ahead at the big screen. He didn't say a thing and neither did she.
After a few seconds Layla let out a sigh, rolled her eyes, and turned to him. "Oh, what the hell!" She said before grabbing the collar of his shirt and pulling him closer until their lips met.
The crowd erupted in cheers. At first Layla and Tony were hesitant but as they found comfort in the warmth their close proximity brought, they gave in and let the moment carry them. Their lips moved in sync as their kiss became imbedded with a passion neither one of them were expecting.
They were no longer scared of losing each other or losing their friendship. In that moment they discovered something more and were both positive the other felt the same.
When they finally pulled away, their faces were bright red and they were out of breath. Embarrassed, they both silently turned their gazes ahead. Tony was too embarrassed to look over at her, but as the game continued, he managed to gather enough courage to reach over to grab her hand. Feeling his gentle touch, Layla glanced over at him with a smile as she put her hand in his.

Behind the scenes, Frostee watched with a smirk. "Thank you, good sir." He said as he paid off the cameraman in charge of the Kiss Cam. "I love baseball."
