Tony paced back and forth, his hammering heartbeat making him jittery with nerves. "Hey, T, relax!" Frostee said, placing his hand on his friend's shoulder.
"I can't relax! How could I relax? What if something happens?" Tony said as he continued to pace around the room, shrugging off Frostee's hand.
"Nothing's gonna happen." Cisco tried to reassure him.
"But we can't be sure of that! Are the guests all settled? Is the priest here? How is Layla?" Tony continued to worry.
"Yes, yes, and I'm sure she's fine. She's getting ready just like you're supposed to!" Frostee told him.
"I'm gonna go check on her." Tony began to make his way towards the door and Cisco quickly jumped in front of him.
"You can't see Layla on your big day, T! It's bad luck." Cisco said, holding his arms out to block Tony from reaching the door.
"But-." Tony started but Frostee cut him off.
"I'll go check on her for you." He then turned to Cisco. "Make sure he gets ready!"
Cisco nodded as he stepped aside to let Frostee leave. Tony also tried to slip past him but Cisco quickly closed the door and stepped back in front of it. "Ah-ah-ah."
"C'mon! I just wanna give her a quick kiss!" Tony argued.
"Sorry lover boy, but you heard Frostee. It's time for you to get ready." Cisco said. "Don't worry, you'll see her soon. She's probably having fun getting all dolled up right now."~~•~~
Frostee knocked on the door to the room Layla was getting ready in and Echo answered after a few seconds. "If it's Tony, tell him to go away!" Layla yelled from further inside the room.
"It's not, it's Frostee." Echo told her as she stepped aside, letting him enter.
As he walked into the room, he immediately noticed how frantic Layla was. All dressed up in her wedding dress, she darted around the room to check on different things like there was something wrong with them.
"Frostee? What're you doing here?" Layla said as she set her veil down for a moment and turned to look at him.
"I told Tony I'd check on you." He said, "He was about to come over here himself."
Layla rolled her eyes as she shook her head. "Of course he did." She said with a small smile before picking up the veil again and turning to Echo. "Do you think this matches the dress?"
"It was made specifically for it." Echo reminded her.
"I know but I feel like it looks off. I don't want to go out there with a mismatched veil! Maybe we should just find a different one." Layla began to walk towards the door but Echo stopped her.
"You're not gonna be able to find a new one in time." Echo said, "The veil's fine. It looks good, just don't worry about it." Taking it from Layla, she helped her put it on.
"But what about the bouquet? I don't feel like it's right." Layla said, turning to her next problem.
Just then the door opened, without a warning knock first, and Miss Nowhere poked her head inside. "Good, you look ready. The ceremony starts in fifteen minutes." She then noticed Frostee and her eyes narrowed. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be getting the groom ready! Get back over there!"
She sent each of them a warning glare that told them all they better not mess anything up, and then she left. "Uhh, I guess I gotta get back to T now." Frostee said.
"Yeah, make sure he's actually ready." Echo said, rolling her eyes.
"You can count on me." He said on his way to the door.
"Hey, Frostee!" Layla called. Frostee stopped just as he reached the door and turned around. "Tell Toretto I'll see him at the altar." She smiled softly as she relaxed for a moment, setting aside the stress of wanting everything to be absolutely perfect.
Frostee smiled and nodded before opening the door and making his way back to Tony's dressing room. When he stepped back inside he was met with Tony immediately rushing towards him.
"Did you see her? How is she? What did her dress look like? Wait, no, I don't want to know yet!"
"Woah, T, slow down!" Frostee said, "I was gonna say she's as frantic as you, but seeing the frenzy you're in now, I'd say the award goes to you."
"Should I go over there? Does she need me?" Tony asked, ready to run out of the room and go find Layla right then.
"She's fine." Frostee told him. "She told me to tell you she'll see you at the altar." Tony couldn't help but smile at that. "But she's not gonna be able to if we don't finish getting you ready!"
"Well, what're we waiting for?" Tony said.
"Uh, you." Cisco mumbled, going by unheard.
After a few minutes there a knock on the door and it swung up without waiting for permission. "If you're not ready then too bad! Toretto, it's your time to go out now!" Miss Nowhere said.
"How do I look?" Tony asked, turning to Frostee and Cisco.
"Aw man, I didn't want to cry but you look all grown up now!" Cisco said, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.
"Don't get all sappy now." Tony said, handing him a tissue.
"You're right, T. We gotta stay strong!" Cisco stood up taller as he used the tissue to wipe his eyes.
"Cisco's right." Frostee said, "You look great, T. Now go get your bride!"
Tony nodded and took a deep breath before heading out the door.
His heart was racing as he made his way through the church past the guests. He felt jittery and nervous as he took his place beside the altar and turned to wait and watch for Layla's entrance.
When he saw her, the entire world stopped. She looked as beautiful as ever, dressed in an elegant white wedding dress. His heart skipped a beat as he thought about how lucky he was to have someone as amazing as her as his soon to be wife.
As Layla approached Tony, she handed her bouquet to Echo before facing him with a smile that told him she was just as nervous and excited as he was. He gently grabbed her hands and gave them a comforting squeeze to silently give her his support.
The priest began his speech but Tony was barely paying attention. His entire focus was on the beautiful woman in front of him. He only snapped out of his Layla-induced-trance when it was time for the vows.
"Do you, Tony Toretto, take Layla Gray to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, for better or worse, in sickness and in health till death do you part?"
Tony gazed into Layla's eyes as he said, "I do."
"Do you, Layla Gray, take Tony Toretto to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, for better or worse, in sickness and in health till death do you part?"
Layla smiled as she gazed back into his eyes, neither of them looking away. "I do."
The priest had them put on the rings and then said, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Before Tony could do anything, Layla grabbed him by the tie, pulled him in and kissed him. Their guests cheered and they could hear their friends yelling the loudest. They could also hear someone crying and they both knew it was Cisco.
When they broke the kiss, Tony grabbed Layla by the waist, preventing her from getting away. "My turn." He said before dipping her as he kissed her even more passionately.
It was like they were both fighting as their tongues battled for dominance. They each were trying to bring more passion to the kiss than the other. Then when they realized they were still in front of everyone, they pulled away before they started full on making out.
"Congrats T, Gray!" Frostee said as he, Cisco and Echo surrounded them to give their congratulations.
"Not Gray anymore." Tony corrected Frostee before giving Layla one more kiss. "I love you, Layla Toretto."
Layla smiled as she gave him a quick kiss. "I love you too, Tony Toretto."(Let me know in the comments if I should make a wedding night one shot 😏)
