Minji POV

I jumped up from the sound of revving engines and hurriedly checked the bedroom window since it gave me a perfect view of the main street. I debated whether to wake Sullyoon or Kyujin up but decided not to. As long as they returned before the rest woke up.

"What are you up to Y/N?" I asked myself when I saw Y/N's bike speed out of her parking space and into the main street with Kazuha behind her. Like I said before: as long as they return before the rest wake up.

Without thinking about it too much, I went back to sleep, not caring about a single damn thing in the world anymore. Except, I went to bed with the thought of Y/N getting in trouble. As I tried to settle back into bed, the image of Y/N and Kazuha speeding off into the night lingered in my mind. I couldn't shake the unease creeping up on me. Y/N was always adventurous, but this felt different—more urgent, more reckless. The fact that she hadn't told any of us where she was going only added to the worry.

I tossed and turned, my mind replaying the sound of the engine and the sight of the bike disappearing into the darkness. It wasn't like Y/N to be so secretive, especially with something that seemed potentially dangerous.

Eventually, exhaustion started to pull me under, despite the swirling thoughts. I forced myself to focus on the calming rhythm of my breathing, telling myself over and over that Y/N could handle herself. She was smart and resourceful, and she had Kazuha with her. They'd both be fine.

"I'm sure she'll be fine Minji," I said to myself, taking several deep breaths and pacing around the room.

Sullyoon POV

"HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHO YOU WORK FOR?" he shouted and raised a gun, aiming at the ice beneath me. "YOU ARE NO LONGER PART OF THE SEOL FAMILY, YOON-A."

"NO WAIT PLEASE!"

Crack. Cold water hits my face and I'm drowning, the face of the person who shot the ice disappeared along with oxygen. I tried swimming up but the current was too strong so I allowed it to pull me down into the abyss until my very last breath.

I jolted up into a sitting position and gasped for air. Kyujin shifted beside me and also sat up, rubbing her eyes.

"Sully? Is everything ok?" she asked sleepily.

I sniffed, still out of breath. "Yeah. Just... a nightmare."

Kyujin slowly opened her eyes and hugged me tightly, not wanting to let go. Not knowing what to do, I hugged back. She patted my back gently and ran her hand through my hair. I buried my face into her shoulder, finding some comfort while doing so.

"It's ok, I'm here," she whispered.

Kyujin held me tighter. I closed my eyes, trying to focus on Kyujin's comforting presence rather than the lingering fear from the nightmare. Her gentle touch and steady breathing were grounding, slowly pulling me away from the terrifying dreamscape and back to the safety of reality.

"You want to talk about it?" she asked softly in between hugs.

I took a deep breath and shook my head. "Maybe tomorrow?"

The revving of engine made us pull away from each other and jump up to check the window. Y/N was parking her bike with Kazuha and they turned to enter the house.

"I hope you didn't do anything brash Y/N," I warned quietly.

Yujin POV

I sighed and sat up, running a hand through my slightly tangled hair. The nearby clock showed it was four-thirty. I had been awake for six hours. I turned around and reclined on the bed, closing my eyes and trying to sleep.
