Y/N POV
The team was then changed to Wonyoung and Yujin since Kyujin was staying by Sully's side and I didn't want to separate them.
The sky's colour changed from blue to pink and then to black. The clock reached 10:30 and I waited for the rest to come downstairs. The rest of the squad was downstairs except for the two lovebirds.
"I swear if they're being lovey dovey I will murder them," I growled and tapped my foot impatiently.
Eventually, the two did come downstairs and gave me an apologetic look.
"Let's go," I said blankly and headed outside. The rest of them followed us out and watched as Wonyoung and Yujin got in the car while I mounted my bike.
"Be careful Y/N," Hyunjin warned with a serious expression but couldn't hide a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"You know me," I replied and pulled down the shield, blocking my face.
With a roar of the engine, I signaled for Wonyoung and Yujin to follow me as I sped off towards the bike meet. The night air was cool against my skin, and the thrill of the open road was both exhilarating and calming. I could see the car's headlights in my side mirror, following closely behind.
As we approached the meetup spot, the familiar sight of bikers and their machines came into view. The air buzzed with the sounds of engines and chatter, a vibrant mix of anticipation and adrenaline. We parked and dismounted, quickly blending in with the crowd. I spotted Ning-Ning in the distance, waving us over with a confident grin.
Ning-Ning was already surrounded by a few familiar faces from the underground racing scene. She greeted us with a playful salute and a wink. "Glad you could make it, Y/N. And you brought two people just like I said," she said, nodding towards Wonyoung and Yujin.
"Yeah," I replied with a casual shrug. "So, what's the scoop?"
Ning-Ning's expression turned serious. She glanced around to ensure no one was eavesdropping before speaking. "There's been some chatter about a new group in town. They're not just racing; they're running some kind of operation. And guess who's involved?"
I raised an eyebrow, already guessing the answer. "Chaewon and the mysterious Y."
Ning-Ning nodded. "Yeah, and she's not alone. She's got a crew with her—looks like they're planning something big. I've heard whispers about them looking for certain 'ingredients' for a... special event."
Wonyoung frowned, clearly catching the implication. "Special event? Like a party or something... more dangerous?"
Ning-Ning shrugged. "That's the thing—nobody knows. But the way they're being all secretive about it, it doesn't seem like a party."
I turned back to the two of them, raising my eyebrow. "Thoughts?"
"I don't like the sound of this," Wonyoung said, her voice steady but tinged with worry. "If they're being secretive, it could mean trouble for all of us."
Yujin nodded in agreement. "We need to find out more about this 'special event' and what they're planning. If Chaewon and Y are in this then it's not good for us."
I sighed and paced around. My thoughts were cut short when the revving of engines came from the starting line. Ning-Ning signaled for me to mount the bike and head over to the starting line. I sighed and reluctantly hopped on, strapping on the helmet while Yujin and Wonyoung followed Ning-Ning to the safety zone, or as some people might call it, the spectating box.
I strode over and positioned myself on the last place of the line. Jackson Wang rode his bike next to mine and gave me a little smirk before pulling his shield down. I slammed the shield down and rolled my eyes just as the light started to count down.
