Alya's Mishaps: Class Rep Edition

Since Lila failed at being the new class rep, Alya decided to take over for the sake of her pride.

Was Marinette dealing with all this when she was the rep??

Alya smirked as she took in her new role. Yes, being the new class representative after Lila would be a stretch, especially after all that Lila screwed up. But this could still be salvaged! Marinette was just being overdramatic with everyone making demands, they really didn't ask for that much! And Lila was just overwhelmed, they were dumb for even considering her in her position and busy schedule.

And Alya's first step of business: planning a class picnic. Just picking a day, location, and asking everyone to bring a dish, it's so simple. No one could mess that up!

And somehow, Alya did.

For starters, she picked the day and told everyone via text message two days in advance. That wasn't enough time for most of the class to drop their weekend plans that they already made beforehand and stop by for a couple of hours.

Two, it turns out the location she picked (the local park) was already being reserved for a short get together by another group. They even paid extra to make sure the entire park was closed off, not just a small area.

And to make it worse, there was rain in the forecast that day. Just perfect! So Alya had no one show up, the food was mid at best, and it got rained out. The girl huffed as she showered to avoid getting sick.

So that was a bust, it was only Alya's first plan after all! She still had a ton of other things she could do.

💰💰💰

The next task Alya was given was to raise money for a trip the class should take for the end of the year. There were plenty of ways to earn money, so Alya plotted out the different things the class could do collectively to raise the money together.

She suggested another bake sale but would provide her mom's dishes (Rose, Mylene, and Ivan accepted that task), Nino could earn some DJ money, Kim and Alix could have onlookers place bets on their speed, Max could enter a citywide mathematics competition for prize money, etc. Alya grinned to herself as she listed out the plan in the class group chat. This is going to be so easy!

And once again, the universe decided to spite her. The bake sale was a success, but the money got stolen and Ivan lost the thief in the crowds. Nino got some money from gigs over the weekend, but not enough to really make a difference. Nath did some drawings of people and did get money, he just lied and said he didn't get much and pocketed the rest. Max found out that the online competition was actually a scam and nearly got hacked and lost everything. Kim and Alix's competition was going well until a random child got in the way, causing both students to avoid him but ended up crashing into each other and having to go to the hospital. They of course, lost more money than they gained.

Alya groaned as she pulled her hair out in distress. How did Marinette possibly raise enough money for class trips? This was impossible! With only this much money raised, they would only be able to go somewhere local like the zoo, or to a museum. This wasn't going to be enough to keep the class happy.

Alya broke the news the next morning. The class was understanding, but were still a little depressed. Marinette and Adrien however, were quite amused at the turn of events.

"How badly do you think this will go?" Adrien asked Marinette after class let out.

"Depends, knowing that Alya full-on doesn't know that trips have to be approved by the school board and a full plan and schedule need to be submitted, I'd say we're in for a treat. Ready to meet Luka and Kagami?"

And of course, Marinette was right.

Alya found out the hard way that she was supposed to submit paperwork for the trip, not just sending an email the night before. This sent the adults in a spiral, panicking that 15 students would randomly go missing without being alerted properly and dragged Alya into the office.

When told of this news, Alya blamed Bustier at first because the teacher never filled in what class representatives were supposed to do. While half right, the school board pointed out that she had to have some prior knowledge, since she was technically Marinette's deputy before she stepped down. So the blame was still on Alya.

So now there's no class picnic, no class trip, and Alya was drowning in guilt and stress. Her grades were even starting to take a hit, going from As and Bs to Cs and Ds.

Marinette on the other hand, felt great and refreshed. Not only has she put her effort into her own personal time, but for the first time in a long time she actually had energy. She learned how to fence (curtesy of Kagami and Adrien), watched a couple of movies she put on hold, and even got to start working on a new design. The girl was beaming with ideas and inspiration that even Lila couldn't bring down.

And when Alya came begging on her knees for Marinette to return as the class rep, she just laughed and continued walking.

"You said you could do better than me, so do better."

I didn't know how to end this ngl, I didn't want to combine Alya's and Lila's but I also didn't know what else she could do because it would've felt repetitive

But I hope this was a fun light read for you guys! I'm trying to get through more ideas and requests, I have a lot to get through

My notes app has like 140 for stories alone I gotta bring that down

But anyways, have a good day/night! Hope to see you again soon!
