Tikki and Plagg tell Marinette and Adrien a story in honor of a magic-filled day

I decided to spoil you guys and make it a longer story so enjoy!

"You know Tikki," Marinette started as she took off her Halloween costume. "I wonder if you have any stories about other magic users." The designer hung up the dress she was previously wearing, changing into her pajamas.

"Oh yes, Marinette! I have lots and lots of stories from all across the realms!" Tikki smiled as she ate her cookie. "But are you sure you want to hear some before you go to bed?"

"Yeah, it could be like a bedtime story!" Marinette paused for a second. "Just don't make it gory please." Both chuckled as Marinette snuggled into her sheets.

Not too far away at the same time, Adrien also requested a story from Plagg. "Jeez kid, why do you want a bedtime story? Didn't that little costume party tire you out enough? And what about that sudden appearance of Ladybug and Cat Noir hm? Aren't you tired? CUZ I AM!" Plagg poked his chosen in the forehead. The golden boy just swatted him away playfully.

"Then if anything, you can help me go to sleep faster." Adrien smiled as the kwamii groaned.

"Fine! But just this one!"

"And it's special for tonight." Tikki giggled as she flew in front of Marinette's face.

"Oh? And why is that?"

"Because it is a very special night, catboy." Plagg ate a slice of cambert cheese. "Halloween is one of the few nights when magic and reality are at it's closest, since people love to immerse themselves into characters that they cosplay as. Most of the time this magic is strongest for holidays like Halloween and Christmas, but can also be on certain days that aren't important right now. Now shush and let me tell this story so I can go to sleep."

"This story is called The Black Cat and The Red Witch." Tikki flew around to add effect.

"...I feel targeted by that title, Plagg."

Once upon a time a long time ago in another world, there was a small kingdom surrounded by forests, mountains, and vast unexplored waters. These forests were filled with many creatures, including ghouls, werewolves, vampires, trolls, and even witches.

"One day, a young boy, we'll call him...Adrien."

"Plagg!"

"Why is he named Adrien?" Marinette raised an eyebrow. Tikki shrugged.

"Believe it or not, his name is a very popular name, no matter what world you are in."

"This young boy, the son of the king, King Grumpiness-"

"Plagg."

"The king was a tyrant!" Tikki emphasized. "He wouldn't let his son do anything outside the castle to prevent him from being injured. The only people allowed from the outdoors was the occasional doctors and healers. But one day, a young woman came in, claiming to replace the doctor that day. This young woman, was in various shades of oranges and browns to blend in with the forest colors that day. Around this time was when fall hits, and the kingdom becomes extra busy preparing for the winter. The young woman was able to sneak in through all the chaos because she was actually an orange witch."

"Orange witch?" Adrien butt in. "Plagg, this story seems kind of biased and targeted..."

"Do you want the story or not kid?"

"What do the colors have to do with the witch, Tikki?" Marinette asked. "You said this story was about a red witch, and now there's another?"

"Well, some covens like to match in different universes. Plus, their colors can also represent their power and skills. In most cases, the color orange represents warmth, creativity, and even bravery. But on the negative side, it can represent pride and arrogance. It all depends on the character of that person."
