Another day, another meeting with Alastor.  This man really won't give up but I'll do as Allison says. I'll be somewhat nice.

"Can you please not murder anyone when I'm around?" I asked trying to be polite. Apparently a couple of demons found out where Alastor likes to spend his time and tried to challenge him. They didn't even notice I was standing around. I knew my disguise was good. Even if it's just me but wearing all black to hide myself.

Alastor returned back to his normal form after devouring each and every soul that tried to attack him "ah yes I apologize my dear. Next time I'll just politely ask them to leave us alone"

"Thank you. I don't think it's that difficult to be nice" I frowned.

Alastor shrugged his shoulders and just smiled

In that moment, I noticed something. A demon who flew under his radar and was about to attack him from behind. Fuck. I didn't want to get involved in his shenanigans but I don't want to have him get hurt.

I pushed the radio demon away and punched the demon trying to attack him.

"Leave him alone!" I shouted at the demon.

He laughed and stood back up "awww little Princess trying to protect someone! Good luck because I came to claim a soul. Now I'll claim two"

He ran after me, ready to attack with a knife that looked like it was carved from a tree. Instead of cowering though, I manifested my deaths scythe.

It is your average scythe. Made with angelic steel. (You can design your personal weapon)

I was going to strike him if it wasn't the fact Alastor just ate him whole on the spot.

It was a disgusting site but I couldn't have been more thankful for him saving me.

"I believe I owe you a thank you" Alastor adjusted his red coat "it seems I didn't know he was behind me"

My weapon disappeared. I dusted off my sweater "no, I owe you a thanks. You're the one that dealt with them. I guess some demons don't understand the word no"

"You have no idea" Alastor laughed.

"Yeah I do. I'm looking at one right now" I glared at him.

"Hmmmm so I do think you owe me a small favor"

"I'm not giving out my soul"

"That's not what I'm asking for"

"Then what are you going to ask me for"

"Just a simple little favor. I want you to come to the extermination." He grinned "once you do that, maybe you'll build a little trust with me"

"I can't, even if I wanted to" I frowned

"Why's that?"

"My portal doesn't work on that day. They take all the precautions that no Angel can travel that day. They said it was a holiday for the demons where they can roam freely and we need to stay safe."

Now that I think about it, that's a really dumb excuse on why we can't travel.

"Hmm" soft music started playing again from his person. He placed a hand on his chin and seemed deep in thought

I stood awkwardly. I can't believe I'm being nice to him. Has he not noticed that I'm being deceitful?

"Do they track when you enter and leave hell?" He asked me

I played with my brown hair, thinking about it.

I remembered a conversation with Adam. He wanted me to skip a couple days of work to hang out with him. He said heaven wouldn't even know anyway so I'm guessing that they didn't know when I came into heaven or hell unless I told them myself.

"No I suppose not. They just turn off my portal on that day" I was still thinking about it. "They would only notice if I didn't attend my monthly meeting with them to discuss what I've seen"

"Is your meeting on the day of the extermination?"

I shook my head "no sir"

"Then I might have an idea." He chuckled.

I was uncomfortable. What was he planning?

"How about you stay in hell for three days? The day before the extermination, day of, and day after? It's the only logical way to see it and the favor you owe me would be completed"

"I would be lying to heaven" I frowned at him

"Heavens been lying to you"

"How would I manage to stay here?"

"I owe you a favor! I'll offer a place to stay and my protection" he held out his hand "so, it's a deal then?"

I just looked at him. Can I really trust that he wouldn't kill me when I'm most vulnerable? I would be trapped here during the extermination. If it's as cruel as he describes, would I be at risk of being killed too?

"I can guarantee your safety my dear. I can also guarantee I won't kill you myself. If I wanted to kill you, I would've done so already" he started glitching out, still holding out his hand

I took his hand. The deal was made. It was strange watching a deal with a demon. He had neon green symbols everywhere, the ground cracked beneath us and stitches appeared on his mouth.

"Excellent well my darling, I will begin preparing you a space to rest like the Angel you are" he clicked his tongue. Jazz music continued playing as he walked away. I was not looking forward to this.
