Chapter 19

I pulled myself from the kiss and he apologized profusely for it. He didn't know what came over him. I kinda just giggled to avoid the awkwardness.

"It's okay" I reassured him. He sat back on the bed.

"I realize my actions maybe have affected our current relationship. I do understand if you choose to leave. I don't understand most emotions I feel towards you dear."

"I think we can agree on that" I sat down. My facial expression was that of fear. I know we can't choose the ones we love but could it have been an Angel?

"Is something wrong?" He asked me. I didn't respond at first.

"Alastor, look. This is wrong. This is all wrong.

I don't think he expected that kind of response from me. By the look in his eyes, it looked like I crushed his heart.

"I'm not trying to reject you. It's just that I'm an Angel and you're a demon. We are playing out some sort of Romeo and Juliet thing. What sucks the most, is angels fall in love once. You're my once" I admitted.

"I tried for years to deny it. Deny I felt this way. It couldn't be right but I was lying to myself everyday." I teared up "I don't know how to proceed with it because if I'm found out, my fate could be worse than death"

"Y/n, if anything were to have happened because of our friendship, it would have. What makes you think it would happen now? My dear, if they really cared, you would've never been down here in the first place" he made a good point. "To be sure dear, how about we do one thing"

"What's that" I looked up at him.

"Let me take you on a proper date. How do we know our emotions are true if we haven't done the proper things"

"Alastor, are you trying to court me?"

He nodded. I just smiled and agreed.

We dropped the topic and spoke for hours about our normal topics.

This was the beginning of the worst heartbreak I ever experienced in my life. This worst misunderstanding I could've ever dealt with.

Unknowingly, in the distance, someone managed to overhear our conversation. That person is no longer alive for reasons I don't know because Alastor never told me.
