I finally got the courage to get up and prepare for Adam to stop by with whatever job proposal he has.

Part of me is worried whether or not he's going to discuss the exterminations with me. Part of me is also worried that he's going to request I become his wife. I can't tell which is worse.

"Sup babe" Adam called out behind me. Has he ever heard of KNOCKING. that would be too easy for him

"Hey y/n" lute called out from behind him. She ain't innocent either.

"Hey guys, I wasn't really prepared for y'all to be here yet" I tried not to look annoyed. I'm having a lot going on right now.

"Yeah well we wanted to get this over with." Adam sat down on my couch and manifested a plate of ribs

"I'll make this easy for you" lute said "sera gave us permission to speak with you about it because even if you choose to say no, you will be capable of keeping a secret. Take a seat"

I sat down next to Adam who offered me a rib with his bbq sauced up hand. I declined

"Once a year we go down to hell to help with population control" lute continued on "we use weapons made of angelic steel to exterminate demons. We do this to avoid them rising up and messing with sanctity of heaven."

I pretended to be shocked. As if I didn't know.

"Anyway babe, we wanna know if you want to join us as my personal death scythe" Adam laughed "with a bad bitch like you, we could honestly kill off more sinners."

"That's correct. In a death scythes true form, you have the potential of a 100% kill rate of all sinners" lute looked at me.

"Why are you guys asking me to do this?" I looked at them both.

Lute came closer to me. It was the only time she went from a bitch look to something a little more sincere.

"We don't know what happened in hell y/n. We don't know why you've locked yourself up in your house for three years but we do know that those fuckers did it to you"

"Yeah bitch. We wanna let you have the opportunity for revenge" Adam grinned "but also, we kinda want to know what happened"

I took a deep breath. "I don't know if that's a job im willing to do. I had to kill three overlords of hell when they cornered me in alley way."

"Oh y/n." Lute gave me a hug. It was a very awkward moment for me.

"Hey just take some time to think about it" Adam put his hand on my shoulder "even if a bad bitch like you doesn't want to join, you have a lot of knowledge of better weapon handling. We wanted to counter offer that you help train my army to do a little better with their weapons"

"Our next extermination is in 3 months. Give it some thought until then. We will ask you about it a week before" lute and Adam disappeared from my house.

Why is so much happening today, if one more thing happens I might just lose it.

I stood from my couch, walked over to my kitchen and poured some tequila. I've never needed this so much in my life.

I took one shot.

"Much better" I said aloud.
