The next day Alastor left a note on the dining table. He let me know when the exterminations start, where to meet him, and that he was out running a few errands. Apparently going to "let off steam" is an errand of his.

A couple hours had passed and I met up with Alastor in our usual spot. I had made sure to use my demon disguise in case he was correct.

"Ah there is the little miss y/n, breaking the rules" a familiar voice cooed behind me.

"Shut it" I hissed "I only did this all to prove you were wrong"

"Ohhhh my. What's with the attitude dear? We had such a lovely time yesterday"

"Just because we had a good day yesterday does not mean we are friends" i huffed.

"Oh that's too bad" he snapped his fingers. Two chairs, a table, a kettle, and two tea cups appeared. He took a seat at one of the chairs, putting his cane off to the side.

"Care to join?" He asked as he poured tea into the two cups. He glanced at me for a moment before looking ahead.

I was hesitant but ended up joining anyway. Before taking up on the offer of tea, I watched him sip his.

He glanced at me and sighed "what kind of man do you take me for?"

I tilted my head

"We had dinner together yesterday night. I wouldn't do something so boring like poisoning you darling. Trust me, you've been the most entertainment I've had since being dead!" He exclaimed

"I highly doubt that"

Alastor pulled out his pocket watch and grinned "it's time my dear"

I looked up into the pentagram sky. Wind blowing through my hair when a giant black hole appeared into the sky.

My jaw dropped and my eyes widened when i watched 100s of angels flying down and began to slaughter demons screaming for help.

The last Angel to pop out, was the man himself. Adam. Ugh why didn't I expect him to running it all. That piece of trash.

That's not the point. The point is, Alastor was right. Angels were coming down, killing demon souls. Those souls were human at one point. How could they?

"You weren't wrong" I teared up,

"Of course I'm not my dear. I believe part of you knew it too" he grinned wider "how does this make you feel? Sad? Angry? Depressed?" He chucked

I was upset. Highly upset but I tried to not give him a reaction while staring at the madness nearby.

Suddenly two exterminators appeared in front of Alastor and I. I stumbled over my chair. Missing the first slash from the Angel. I stumbled on my feet and tried to run. What stopped me? Looking for that damn demon. Making sure he was okay before I escape in my portal.

I didn't see him. He really left me? How could I have thought a demon like him would really even care.

I tripped again. When I looked above me, that stupid extermination mask was staring down, holding up a spear. I accepted my fate. Throwing my arms down.

When the Angel attempted to stab me with the spear, a neon green force appeared around me. I looked around shocked, only to see Alastor standing above me, summoning whatever shield around the both of us. He grinned looking down at me

"Hold on" he said holding my hand.

I squeezed my eyes shut, holding onto his hand. When I opened my eyes, I was in some sort of home. From the looks of it, it was underground. Very old timey style. Warm colors. It was inviting but antique.

My guess is this man is from the 30s.

"Where am I?" I asked, very confused

"This is my extermination home. It's where I go to avoid all the chaos above" he pointed up.

I nodded, taking a seat. I was defeated. Not only did I find out the angels were killing demons but a demon saved my life. A sadistic one at that.

"It must be such a discouraging sight" Alastor walked around me. "Knowing that those you respected betray you right behind your back."

I let out a deep breath. He placed a hand on each of my shoulders.

I can feel his hot breath in my ear as his voice sounded like jazz with a hint of radio static in the background. "I could help you my little dove."

I tilted my head

"Help you defeat them. Turn those beautiful white wings of yours black." He turned up his charm "or I can help you forget"

I shook my head and stood up. Getting out of his trance "no. You can't keep trying to take my soul. I wanted to thank you for saving me. I see it's because you have other reasons"

"Well of course i have my reasons" Alastors eyes changed to shocked whenever she didn't budge on the deal he was offering. Most would cave in with his music and words. "Since we aren't friends and all"

Using my own words against me. I guess that is a demons way. Maybe I shouldn't let the fact he's a demon stop me from being nice to him fully. Since angels like to go around and kill people who aren't even bothering them. Fucking assholes. That's right, I cussed.

I snapped my fingers and my demon disguise went away. I was back to looking like an Angel. I took a look in the mirror nearby. Staring at my white Angel wings. The sign of purity, honesty, loyalty. That's all a damn lie.

Who even cares anymore. I sat back down, curling up into a ball, and hiding my face between my legs.

                     ALASTORS POV

I watched the little dove hide herself in her wings. Poor thing, she's traumatized.

I wanted to laugh but I couldn't. I don't understand why that is really. It's hilarious to watch her fail to be right to say that angels are perfect.

Eventually I heard soft sobs coming from her. Taking a deep sigh, I walked over to her. Sitting on the couch next to her, I set my cane off to the side.

Awkwardly, I sat with my hands on my knees for a few minutes.

Taking one more look at her crying, my eyes showed a little compassion. I reached over and wrapped my arm around her.

Physical touch has never been my favorite thing to do. In fact, I hate touching. In this moment though, my friend needed someone.

She snuggled into my chest, sobbing louder.

Did I feel bad for once?
