Chapter 10

Apparently tomorrow I'm going on a date with Adam. I frowned, I did not want to go. Even if In reality he's a nice dude, he has been lying to everyone here about what he does.

Whatever, it's not they care about it, fuck, they might even be involved in it.

I snapped my fingers and ended up in my demon disguise. I jumped through the portal, back into my spot in hell.

Part of me wanted Alastor there but the other part of me did not want to deal with anyone.

"Havent seen you in a while my dear" that familiar radio voice called out. Great, let's just have all the weird men in my life approach me.

"Yeah, I took a little break" I scratched the back of my head "speaking of that, I'm sorry I left so abruptly. I didn't even tell you bye"

"Water under the bridge. I was more wondering if you caused a fight with heaven about it" he chuckled, waving his cane around for dramatic effect.

"Oh heavens no" I giggled a bit "I could never"

"Why not"

"I'm not trying to killed today"

"Hmm what about tomorrow"

"You're ridiculous but I guess tomorrow I am killing myself in a way"

"Oooo how so? Testing explosives perhaps? Looking to fight all that army on your own!" His guesses were ridiculous

"I wish. I'm going on a date though. With the leader of that army"

His radio screeched.

"What was that?" His radio static voice dropped.

"I said I was going on a date with Adam. He asked me out" I spoke a little louder, thinking he couldn't hear me "my plan is to get him to admit to doing the exterminations and tell him to stop"

His jazz music returned "seems I have been rubbing off on you. Going on a date to manipulate someone to admit something and then get them to stop. How bad of you"

I gasped, offended. "How dare you assume that's what I'm going to do! I'm just going to have simple conversation that could lead to that"

"Mmhmm and will you stir the conversation to that direction?"

"Well yeah"

"Ha manipulation darling" he teased me again.

I frowned. "It is not. You'll see!"

"I guess I will. What made you agree to go on a date with such a man"

"Well he's asked me about 16 times so far. He came to my house and asked me without that annoying mask on his head"

"Do you find him appealing" Alastor raised his eyebrows at me

"Why would you care?" I teased him

"Never said I did but as your friend, it's never hurtful to ask"

"Not really no if I'm being honest. I know what he's trying to do and I'm not interested in any of that"

I could hear the jazz music playing again. I still haven't determined whether or not that jealousy came from him developing a crush on me or jealousy that I would be giving another man the same attention I give him.

"Have a lovely day! Shall we see each other the same time tomorrow?"

"I don't know about that. I have to go shopping for a new dress"

"Non sense, have Rosie make you one. She is a brilliant seamstress. I'll even make sure the colors look more appropriate" Alastor insisted

"Fine. I guess it would save some time on shopping"

"Great! I'll talk with Rosie and I'll see you tomorrow at 9am" Alastor waved and disappeared off.

I shrugged it off. Hopefully it will go well.
