Chapter 22

"Well I can see why y/n might've thought it was you" Rosie said reading the letter "not happy about this by any means but it is impressive to some degree"

"What can be done about it?" Alastor asked.

"I'm afraid nothing, Alastor. Not until she returns back and you could explain your side of things." Rosie made Alastor a hot beverage

"She left this" Alastor handed over the necklace

"Ouch." Rosie looked at it "this looks like she threw it on the ground."

Alastor just kinda looked down. He didn't really know how to react because all these feelings were getting in the way. He was angry of course but there was a sadness to him he didn't understand.

Rosie didn't say anything but she caught on.

"She works in hell dear." Rosie continued on "she will be back even if tonight was just rough. I don't think it's that easy to just quit your job"

Alastor nodded and disappeared off to wait in their normal spot. This would start off Alastors 7 year disappearance.

Alastor waited for two years in their spot. He had disappeared from hell, allowing his territory to be taken up by whatever up and coming overlord decided to jump in. He found whatever mimic demon ruined his only worth while relationship. The things he did to that man was beyond worse than death itself.

Still, he hoped y/n would return. He was ready to explain himself and rekindle whatever relationship he'd hope y/n would offer.

That day never came. She never came back. Alastor had decided to give up. He sat through two exterminations. He waited around for her to no avail. He lost one of the only few people in his life he cared about. Y/n was special to him in a way he couldn't explain properly.

He sighed and stood up from his chair. It was time for him to return to being one of the cruelest overlords that hell as ever met. He planned on coming back even worse.

He stopped plan his tracks when an unfamiliar figure appeared around him.

"I have a deal you can't refuse" the figure laughed.
