Alastor didn't say much while walking me back to our normal spot. In fact, he didn't even look at me.

Once we got back to the spot, we said our goodbyes and he left in a hurry. Strange but okay.

I manifested back into heaven and took a deep breath while looking in the mirror.

I can't believe I'm going on a date with Adam. He will be here any minute now

I looked at the time, it was 7:00 yet he still wasn't here.

30 minutes had passed and nothing. Maybe he forgot. That's not a completely bad thing.

An hour passed by and I pretty much gave up.

I was going to start undressing when a thought ran through my mind.

Alastor was never late and he's a demon. He was always on time. Sometimes even earlier. I'm not trying to be harsh but it's rude to stand up some—-

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Must be him and I was right. I opened the door to see a dressed down but up Adam.

He wasn't in his full uniform but he was in a nice white button up and a pair of black slacks. I could tell he was uncomfortable in that outfit but I could appreciate the effort. He had a bouquet of daisies in his hand.

"Oh hey, I apologize for being late. I was trying to figure out how to tie a tie." He laughed nervously and handed me the flowers.

I took them and placed them in a vase while he stammered on about how pretty I was. I guess it's better than not talking to me. How could Alastor not say something? I even posed for him. That's so me—-WHY am I thinking about how he didn't react. I'm on a date right now.

"Are we good to head out?" I asked Adam

He nodded and walked out the door. Alastor would've opened the door for me and made sure I stepped out first. Stop it y/n. He's just a demon dude.

We ended up in some bar restaurant kind of deal. Not really what I had in mind for a first date but I guess it gets the job done.

We sat in a booth in the corner. He ordered a beer and started to go on about whatever he cares about. It's been over an hour and I don't think I've gotten a single word in.

"Anyway, that's why in new York I'm known as the beer man" he laughed.

"Mmhmm." I looked off to the main bar. I noticed a very familiar looking Angel in a gray dress constantly staring into our booth or whatever is around them. Lute. It's strange to see her out of her uniform but she is very cute.

"So how are you feeling" Adam caught my attention.

"O-oh I'm pretty good. I was actual—"

"That's good babe. Let me tell you about the time I was in California" Adam was on his fourth beer by this point.

"I'm gonna use the restroom real quick" I walked off to the other side of the room and slipped into the women's restroom.

I sat in one of the stalls and frowned. I've only been here an hour and I'm already over this date. He doesn't let me talk so I can't even get him to talk about the extermination and his part in it.

Looking down, I noticed the locket I was wearing. Rosie told me to look in it when I needed to. Honestly, it's one of those times I could use a small laugh or even slight terror. I unclipped it and opened it up. It was a picture of Alastor on one side. Rosie on the other. I was pretty shocked to see Alastor in a normal photo. He usually likes to glitch out because 'this face is made for radio' lectures. Despite the fact I've only know Alastor for about 5 months, he definitely is the highlight of my days. Hmm. No wonder why rosie gave me this pick me up. She knew this date wouldn't go well. She also knew I wouldn't have the heart to manipulate someone even if I tried.
