Chapter 28

Two days later and I was all prepared. I still pretty much stayed in my house.

6:50. Hmm. I was in a lilac skater style dress. Black flats. My hair was down. Nothing too serious. Just in case he decides to cancel again.

Knock knock knock

Oh wow. Alrighty then. Guess he wasn't lying.

I opened the door to see the radio demon faking as an Angel outside. He was holding a bouquet of (Favorite Flower)

He had a grin, awaiting me to let him in.

"Come on doofus" I stepped to the side.

"A who now?" He asked walking in.

"Nothing"

I snapped a vase for the flowers and placed them on the dining table.

"Due to what you've said to me last night, I should really lessen my public presence" Alastor whipped out a picnic basket "so I thought tonight we have a date indoors"

This man is an Angel at heart. How could he know I hate the public? I don't completely hate the public, just when I go outside and the public is there.

"What are we going to make?"

"Our own personal pizzas!" He chuckled "I was going to cook a good meal representing from where I'm from but since my mother is up here, I should leave that to her"

"You would be right on that" I laughed "she is a better cook than you"

"I'll have you know, my dear, one day the student surpasses the master. I just haven't achieved that yet"

He whipped out two pizza crusts. One that was my preference, one that was his. He even remembered my favorite ingredients.

"Even after all this time, you remember my favorite things"

"Why would I forget?"

Why would I forget? Those words rang through my head. I didn't know that's what I needed to hear. Tears welled up but I was able to push those back down. I'm not supposed to be so easily persuaded by him again.

We started setting up the pizza. I personally used a (favorite crust) with (favorite sauce and toppings). I can't remember what Alastor did but it smelled kinda goofy.

They were in the oven while Alastor and I sat on the couch

"Sooooo I believe we should start on typical questions we are supposed to do on a first date" Alastor whipped out a notebook and adjusted his glasses.

"Okay" I laughed just a tad bit.

"Hmmmm where are you from"

"I'm born and raised in heaven." I smiled "where are you from"

"This swanky little town called New Orleans! Being alive,I remember all the partying and fun I had up there" he chuckled "what's your favorite color"

"Hmmm I would say probably f/c or 2nd f/c"

"Mine is what they call, voodoo green. Whatever that means"

I stared at him for a moment. Really? Green. YOUR ENTIRE LIFE IS BUILT ON RED. wow I really am finding new things about this man.

"What do you like about me?" Alastor turned more in my direction. Of course he would ask this. Gotta brush his ego a bit.

"I do like your voice. I enjoy how respectful you are to most people. Especially women.  You don't ever take anything seriously which is a good thing but can be a bad thing. Even though I don't enjoy how sadistic and homicidal you are, you aren't really a horrible person. You do things the wrong way for the right reason. I like how you spent quality time with me regardless of the fact that I had no interest in you to begin with and you kept bothering me. And I do find it funny how easily entertained you are" I laughed. There was a few more things but seeing the smug look on his face, I had to stop.

"You really know how to hype me up as the new kids would say"

"Please don't be hip. The 20s personality really sticks to ya"

"Oh I don't think it was that bad my dear"

"Yes, Alastor. Yes it was"

"On another note. I find that you are kind and sweet. Nothing I've really seen in hell. It's why I'm highly entertained by your person" he only said that to me.

Later on, he told me what he really wanted to say, he just wanted to tease and make it seem like he didn't care for me THAT much. Reality is, he would destroy planets if he had to for me.

"Short and sweet. I like it" I wasn't going to let him have a victory in this Christian household.

The oven dinged, I was about to get up to handle it but alastor sat me back down

"Allow me my darling" he stood from the couch then got the pizzas out the oven. Something about watching him do basic things made me want to attack him. Not in a hurtful violent manner but close enough. He was an absolute cutie pie. I wanna bite him.

He let them cool for a few minutes before cutting us out a few slices.

He brought over the plates and sat back on the couch

"Oooouuuu were being bad by eating on the couch" I joked

"Do you not want to?" He asked

"No no it's okay." I smiled and took a bite. Delicious, as always.

"There is one more topic I would like to discuss during this date" he asked me with a little mischievous grin.

"What's that?"

"Sex. I know it's a common topic and if we continue to date, I feel it's a respectful thing to discuss"

"Go on"

"Is that your thing?"

"What? Sex?"

"Yes"

"Hmmm I guess I never really think about" I took another bite.

"Is that so?"

"Well angels are kind of asexual until marriage. Then we really only have sex to procreate. Human angels are a bit different. They are more likely to have fun with it." I thought for a moment "if we continued to date, we wouldn't be able to have children so I suppose I wouldn't be opposed to it but I don't really need it"

"That's a relief. I've heard the term asexuality to describe me before by Rosie. Guess we've come to an agreement that sex is off the table until future notice"

I nodded.

We dropped the topic and discussed other random things. It was easy to talk with him.

The night had came to an end. I didn't really get an answer to why Alastor was in heaven or how he's getting away with it but i did enjoy the date we were supposed to have 4 years ago.

"It's always a pleasure to spend time with you, miss y/n. I believe it's safe to say it made up for the worst first date of your life"

"It did. Thank you Alastor" I kissed him on the cheek. We both agreed to do it again next week. And the week after. So on and so forth.
