I left pretty early in the morning to head back to heaven. I definitely needed a few days off of work to process everything.

When I mean process, I mean hiding up in my house in a giant sweater, sweatpants, and my hair in two somewhat messy braids.

Three whole days had passed and I hadn't left my bed.

Those memories flooded my brain. Watching angels slaughter demons like it was some game.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

I groaned. I told Allison and Thomas I wanted to be alone for a few days. I told them I was socially exhausted after getting up close and personal with hells citizens.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

I flipped over off the bed. Snapping my fingers to make myself more presentable. My hair was neatly braided and I was in a tank top and shorts.

It's funny that I could just snap myself into something nice and clean yet I always loved taking showers.

I opened the door to see that annoying gown with the letter "A" on it. Adam.

I was shocked to see that his little pet lute wasn't hanging off him

"Heya babe" that familiar sharped tooth mask grinning at me

"Oh hey Adam" I frowned "where's lute"

"She's out resting from one of our training days! I came to check up on ya hottie. Hadn't seen you on your normal route in a few days"

"Oh yeah" I looked nervous "I took a little trip to heavens beach on the east side."

He just looked for a second at me. He didn't respond. Maybe he could see I was lying

"No wonder why I didn't see you! Babe, the beaches are better in the west." He smiled

"Can you do me a favor, Adam?"

"Anything" he scratched the back of his head

"Can you drop the 'im THE man' personality? You're not around other people" I glared at him, letting him into my house.

Let me give you a little history on Adams and I's relationship. We are technically friends but he constantly hits on me when anyone else is around. He wants to seem like some crazy womanizer but he does have a sweet heart. Poor dude had both his wives cheat on him with the king of hell in the past. Doesn't excuse him I'm running an army that kills demons but I do want to be nice to him. Even if he has lied to everyone in heaven.

He nodded, entering my home. He took off his uniform leaving him with his brown hair and golden eyes. He had 3 sets of Angel wings. Under that stupid outfit, he just wore a T shirt and jeans. Nothing too out there. If it wasn't for his disgusting personality around other people, he was actually a very sweet man.

"Would you like something to drink?" I asked, looking at him.

"Actually I wasn't planning on staying long, I just wanted to ask you something" he grabbed his own hand

I swallowed hard. Definitely uncomfortable with the situation. Was he going to ask if I was in hell during the extermination? Was he going to ask about Alastor and what kind of relationship I had with him? I mean, shit, I don't even know what kind of relationship I had with him. He constantly teases me but at the same time, he held me while I was crying.

"I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner with me tomorrow night?" Adam asked, ruffling his hair.

I stopped my constant thinking. Did he just officially ask me out? "Like on a date?"

He nodded "that's kind of the plan. Look, I know I can be real shitty but I do want to show you I can be fun and exciting!"

I took a deep breath. Maybe this could be a good thing. If I say yes, I could possibly get him to admit these exterminations and maybe I convince him to stop. If I say no, he'll leave me alone. I like it when I don't see him.

"Sure Adam, I'll go on one date with ya" I gave him a soft smile. In the my head, I'm screaming "no you dumbass murdering asshole"

Adam almost jumped five feet in the air "fuck yeah. Alright sugartits. I'll pick you up at 8 tomorrow" he redressed himself and disappeared off.

What did I get myself into?
