Chapter 44

TRIGGER WARNING: light mentioning of SA.

I woke up to the sound of Charlie's aggressive laughing.

Is she having a breakdown?! I jumped up and out of bed. I knew Alastor would give me shit about not getting properly ready but I don't care. There is a woman having a crisis.

When I made it downstairs, Charlie was on the phone. Everyone else were just sitting there nervous, also in their pajamas. Only exception of course, is Alastor.

"So um, what's going on" I asked Angel.

He hushed me almost immediately "shhhhh Charlie is on the phone with her dad"

"Huh?" I couldn't hear him. He smacked me in the back of the head and repeated himself.

When that smack hit me, I could feel Alastor creeping on my back. He did not appreciate his wife getting smacked in the head.

Angel could see the partially seething Alastor and smirked "don't wanna be too obvious smiles" he teased.

Alastor rolled his eyes and walked back to his original spot.

"Okay everyone listen up! Lucifer is going to be arriving soon. We need to get this place ready" vaggie clapped her hands.

Just like that, the music montage started. I was sweeping the floors. Nifty was baking, sir pentious putting up a sign with Angel. All that fun stuff.

It's kinda strange how much of a blur everything was when setting everything up.

We all heard the knock on the door. Charlie nervously went to open it.

Alastor stood near the door. Vaggie had us get in our places at the table. We were all prepared for this.

Meeting King Lucifer. I don't know much about him but I've heard he was a cruel man. He did awful things to heaven and is the ruler of the underworld. I'm not going to lie, I was terrified.

I put on my best dress and heels. My hair was down with a nice bow in the back. I was prepared for this.

I was not prepared for this.

I couldn't hear what was going on but I know my husband was pissing off the KING OF HELL. tf are you doing? Why are you suddenly being way more affectionate towards Charlie?! The fuck is really going on.

"Why don't you introduce me to your OTHER FRIENDS" The short blonde king took a look at all of us.

He was ecstatic to hear his daughter had a girlfriend. Allowing all of us to know he was a straight man as well.

Everyone else went through their introductions before it came to me.

"Oh um, hello sir" my voice got real soft real quick. Im surprised I wasn't shaking in my shoes from how nervous I was.

Even more nervous when he started walking towards me. Im gonna piss myself. I swear to god imma pi—

"Lucifer" he kissed my hand. Oh he seems much nicer than the stories.

I could feel the lazer beams Alastor was shooting in the back of Lucifer's head.

"You're very pretty" Lucifer gave me an awkward laugh

I gave him a soft smile. I wasn't going to piss myself after all. This man is an absolute cutie pie.

"So be honest with me, why are you staying at a place so umm..." he looked around "uh huh"

"Oh, it's because I believe in your daughters dream."

Lucifer was basically purring "you're even good with kids. Ha im...not" it was awkward again. "But anyway haha. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up here."
