CHAPTER 2.
Few years ago...
People think that when you're rich, you don't have any problems. But they don't know that behind wealth often lies the hidden pain of the children.
My parents worked hard to provide for our needs, which often meant they weren't home much. I understand and respect that. But as a daddy's girl, sometimes I miss the old days when we had more time together. I try to understand that things are different now, especially since we're growing up and school tuition is expensive.
In fact, I attend a different university from my siblings. They go to public school, while I study in a private one. Before college, I read an article questioning why wealthy people take spots at public universities that others may need more.
Sa konsensya ko, I decided to enroll in private univ. Well, maganda naman ang pagtuturo sa school kaya go na.
My two brothers want to enroll in a public university para raw mabawasan ang burden ng parents namin. But our parents told us na kaya naman nila dahil bukod sa mana ni daddy from his parents, he worked hard for years. And mommy also has work.

"Good morning, dad," bati ko. "Daddy, can I buy new shoes?" I pleaded. See?
"Alright. Use your card, I'll transfer money."
"Thank you, daddy!"
He put his hand on my shoulder. "Just don't forget to do you responsibility, okay? I want you to finish your studies."
I smiled. "Of course."
Humarap siya kay mommy. "How's my darling?"
"Get a room, mom and dad," sabi ko.
Parehas lang silang natawa sa akin. Sakto namang dumating na rin ang dalawa. Si Vermont ay may hawak pa na cookbook samantalang si Verdell ay mukhang inaantok pa. I'm grateful dahil I have a supportive family.
Matapos naming mag-almusal ay kani-kaniya na rin kaming alis ng bahay. Ang dalawang maids na ang bahala. They hired maids dahil nga busy si mommy sa restaurant nila. While daddy is busy teaching in the university. Doon siya nagtuturo kung saan nag-aaral ang dalawa kong kapatid.
"Sandali, pûta."
Napatingin ako sa may hallway ng cr nang makita ko ang lalaki na inaayos ang kaniyang kwelyo, nagusot na. Katapat niya ang mga kalalakihan na masama ang tingin sa kaniya. Inaaway ba siya?
