Maithili's Pov
"And then she hit the boy on the nose, he didn't bleed but he got the message that he should not mess with us," Ahana tells me as I listen to her amazed and curious. She was telling me how she and Kaira came to become best of friends as Kaira made coffee for all of us.
Ranbir was initially angry with Ahana for hiding me, well you cannot blame him, the man was literally attacking me with a knife when he thought I was trespassing in the house, but I felt a little bit jealous when I realized just how much he cared for Ahana, it was as if I was watching a romantic movie in front of me as Kaira told me how they were childhood enemies and now were the forever lovers.
I was smiling and enjoying listening to the stories that they kept telling me to pass my time, because in the past several hours I wanted to on the TV and watch the news as to what was going on, but they distracted me and I was more than thankful for that.
"And since then we have been inseparable," Ahana says as I take in the information, just then the doorbell rang and we all looked over there at the same time, me with panic written all over my face and Ahana and Kaira confused as Ranbir comes out with coco in his hand who was on some call in the other room.
"Were you expecting someone?" Kaira asks Ahana from the kitchen as Ahana shakes her head.
"Go to your room, I'll see who it is, and lock the door," Ahana says as I nod my head and start going towards the guest room that Ahana had given me as I watch Ahana walking towards the door with Ranbir behind her.
I went inside the room and locked the door and closed my eyes, resting my forehead on the door and sighing. I was feeling so tired, it's just been a day and I was already exhausted.
I heard voices coming from outside as I listened, "You all are here? That's great, I brought a cake!" A new voice said, which was a girl.
"Aria, Zian? What a surprise!" Kaira says as I listen to them confused, now who are Zian and Aria? More friends? Exactly how many friends does Ahana have?
"Yeah, I know, I even brought the cake, see," The girl, I assume Aria says as her voice fades away as if she has walked away when I hear a man speaking.
"The cake is fucking terrible, but you all have to eat it, and tell her it is delicious," The man's voice, I presume to be Zian warns everyone as I stifle a laugh and wonder how supportive he was of Aria.
"Not again!" I hear Ranbir groaning, "The last time she made those cupcakes and you made us eat them, I had an upset stomach for days! Days Zian!" Ranbir tells.
"Sorry man, I will treat you to a nice restaurant soon, just do it," Zian says as I smile realizing just how nice everyone is here.
"Who got a new phone?" Zian asks all of a sudden and my eyes widen in shock as I realize I kept the new phone Aarav brought for me from Sam outside. Oh no.
