Maithili's Pov
"That's so cute that you call her Princess," Prem teased, and both Aarav and I exhaled in quiet relief. For a second, I thought we were caught when Aarav slipped and called me 'Princess,' but thankfully, Prem just assumed it was a cute nickname.
"I know, right?" Aarav responded, forcing a laugh, while I shook my head. My thoughts were already drifting to what Aarav had planned for today. I had imagined something romantic, maybe lunch at a cozy spot or a peaceful walk along the streets like normal people. But what Aarav had in mind... well, I'd never done anything like that before.
"Get ready then Monty, we will leave in half an hour," Aarav says and I groan.
"I don't want to do those activities, I'm scared," I say and he chuckled.
"You haven't done any of them and you're already scared? Come on, I promise, you'll enjoy it," Aarav teased with a playful smirk as we finished our breakfast and he pushed me towards my room to get ready. Though I was relieved to see him back to his usual self, no longer avoiding me.
I was deciding on what to wear when there was a knock on the door and I immediately put on my glasses as a scarf before opening the door ajar and seeing Prem standing outside with a bag.
"Aarav asked me to give you these," he says forwarding the bag as I look inside and my eyes widen.
"What? When did he go and buy these?" I ask, looking at some casual clothes, shirts, and track pants along with some new Kurtis and leggings.
"Actually my mom bought them, last night after you guys came back he told me, you lost your luggage at the airport and to get you some new clothes so I told Mom and she brought them today," he says, "I hope you like them," he adds as I stand there speechless.
Aarav...
"Thank you, Prem, they're all beautiful," I say, my voice wavering slightly with emotion. I couldn't help but think about how Lakshya, who I was once so close to marrying, never brought me a single gift, not even a souvenir from the places he traveled. Yet here was Aarav, someone I'd only known for a few weeks, making sure I had everything I needed, even clothes to wear.
"I'm glad," he smiles and leaves from there as I close the door and hug the bag to my chest a smile appears on my lips as I take out the clothes one by one, they were all really beautiful. I decided to wear the black joggers and one of the new shirts since Aarav had planned some activities for today, this dress would be comfortable. Though I've never worn these clothes outside my room and it was my first time wearing them outside my palace, and it was a little weird.
Once I was ready I got out of the room and saw Aarav was already waiting downstairs talking to someone on the phone, as I neared them I could hear his voice, "Yes, we will be there in ten minutes," he said and as if he realized I was standing behind him, he turned around and I watched his eyes widen in surprise.
