[Y/n's PoV]
We stepped into the restaurant and the faint scent of luxurious food and the warm glow of candlelight permeated the air.
The soft melody of a violin filled our ears, mingling with the hushed murmurs of conversation from other diners.
"Impressive, isn't it?" Jade whispered as she led me further inside.
She gestured towards a table set slightly apart from the others, nestled next to a grand, tall stained-glass window that allowed a view of the night sky.
Once we're there, I quickly moved to pull Jade's chair out for her to display a small gesture. She took her seat, graciously nodding in acknowledgement.
"Oh my, how thoughtful," she teased, "You continue to surprise me, my little rabbit."
"Isn't that normal for most people to do that?"
As I sat down, Jade took a moment to respond as her fingers lightly traced the edge of the menu that was placed before her.
"Well, while it may be common practice for some, the act of pulling out a chair for someone can hold different meanings depending on the context and cultures. In some places, it could be considered a romantic gesture."
"I... see..."
With a light smirk, Jade looked up from her menu as her eyes found mine.
"Have you settled on your food for the night? Do you have any preferences or dislikes I should be aware of?" She inquired.
Umm...
As I perused the menu, I found myself taken aback by the unfamiliarity of the names that adorned the pages. Sensing my slight perplexity, Jade took it upon herself to offer a brief explanation.
"The restaurant specializes in unique fusion cuisine, blending traditional dishes with a touch of innovation. Don't worry, my bunny, I can help you navigate through the selection if you wish."
She signaled to the waiter who swiftly approached our table. The waiter wore a crisp, neat uniform that perfectly matched the ambiance of the upscale restaurant.
"Ah, good evening, madam."
The waiter greeted us with a polite bow.
"How may I assist you both tonight?"
"Good evening. We're ready to place our order. My little bunny here is quite unfamiliar with the menu, so please do guide us with your recommendations."
As the waiter glanced in my direction, his gaze met mine, whereupon I responded with a blank stare of my own.
"...."
There was a beat of silence before the waiter nodded as his expression betrayed no hint of surprise or perplexity.
"Ah, of course," the waiter replied. "Allow me to suggest a few dishes that showcase the unique fusion of flavors this establishment is renowned for. How do you feel about the Châteaubriand, a tender filet mignon in a port wine reduction sauce, or perhaps the Lobster Risotto with truffle oil and saffron?"
Intrigued by the waiter's suggestions, I furrowed my brow slightly, weighing the options presented before me. As I pondered, Jade noticed my contemplative expression and leaned in slightly.
"Ah, the Châteaubriand sounds delightful, and for your side dish, I'd recommend the seasonal vegetables prepared with a balsamic glaze. It complements the main dish well in my opinion."
