My eyes slowly opened and I immediately noticed her absence. Right, how could I forget— we had a little miscommunication last night.
My mind raced through the possibilities as I recalled our conversation about her taking the couch and needs for space. However...
Did she left early because of last night?
Could she have fled, not feeling comfortable being around me anymore?
I wonder...
...?
Hmm.
I approached the door and opened it. There, I happened to find her standing outside. She was holding a bouquet of flowers and my expression immediately shifted from the flicker of doubt into a wide smirk. The sight of her holding that bouquet, coupled with her seemingly nervous stance, ignited a sense of amusement within me.
I leaned against the doorframe before I crossed my arms across my chest.
"Oh?~ What's this?" I asked her.
"I wanted to... apologize... about my actions last night. Something triggered within me, making me push you away hence I wanted to make it up to you. I learned that people usually give flowers to another individual as a sign of apology, that's why I picked these up and formed a bouquet to give it to you." She explained, making me laugh.
"What's... so funny?" She looked at me in confusion.
Such innocence...
Without letting her wait for too long, I quickly composed myself to explain the humorous misinterpretation at the irony of the situation.
"My little rabbit, about those flowers..."
"...They're funeral flowers."
"You chose carnations, asters, and chrysanthemums. Carnations often symbolize sadness and death, while chrysanthemums are traditional funeral flowers. Asters represent love, patience, and trust."
"Ah..."
Once she realized her mistake, her gaze drifted down to the floor as though she felt a sense of embarrassment hence I stepped forward and gently took the bouquet from her hand.
"It's alright, my bunny, it was an honest mistake. Your intention was sweet and heartfelt."
"...."
"....Don't stress it," I reassured her, "How about you join me for dinner tonight at the restaurant? Consider it your chance to make it up to me and a way for us to spend some quality time together. Is that agreeable to you, my little rabbit?"
She nodded slightly.
"Excellent. I have to attend some business matters for a while. Topaz will be the one to aid you at your training today since she's more of an expert to wield a gun than Aventurine," I explained, "But come by my room around 7 PM, and I'll accompany you to the restaurant then."
"Of course..." She nodded again.
With that, our conversation came to a close for the time being. I gave her a warm smile before heading off to attend my business matters, leaving her with my colleague for the day's training session.

Hours passed as I immersed myself in Topaz's training to hone my skills beneath her expert tutelage.
Soon enough, the evening crept in, painting the sky in a beautiful array of colors. Taking my cue from the setting sun, I bid farewell to Topaz and made my way back to Jade's room.
I found her meticulously applying a touch of perfume, enhancing her natural scent with a delicate fragrance as she turned her attention to me.
"Oh my, you're just on time as expected."
She then gestured towards the bed as my eyes fell upon the formal attire that was laid out neatly.
"Change into this. The restaurant I've reserved has quite the dress code." she instructed.
I nodded. With Jade present, I began to strip off my training clothes and replaced it with the elegant formal attire that she had prepared.
As I finished dressing, I turned to face her while waiting for her approval.
"You look enchanting, but..." She gently adjusted the collar of my outfit to ensure it lay perfectly against my neck.
Once satisfied, she gestured for me to step over to the full-length mirror nearby. With a gentle nudge, she encouraged me to take in my reflection. From behind, Jade rested her chin on my shoulder as we locked eyes through the mirror. She smirks as she took in the sight of us together before she wrapped her own arms around my waist.
"Quite the pair we make, don't we, my bunny?~"
"Well, enough about that, shall we go?" She asked from which I nodded my head.
Accepting my silent agreement, Jade placed a gentle kiss on my cheek before taking my hand and intertwining her fingers with mine.
"Allow me to lead the way." she murmured.
"...You are stubborn, do you know that?" After I voiced my observation, her response was a small chuckle which was followed by a nod of acknowledgment.
"I'm well aware, but what can I say? I find your reluctance endearing in its own way."
"And while I respect your boundaries and the slow pace you set, I cannot help but feel a hint of determination and excitement when I catch glimpses of progress; I want to be there to see the light in your eyes when you finally realize that there's nothing to fear."
"...."
Despite my taciturn response, Jade carried on with her small smile and was undeterred by my silence. Hand in hand, we made our way out of her room and towards the waiting car that awaited us.
Once we were seated inside the car, the vehicle began to move to carry us towards our dinner destination. I remained quiet while gazing out the window. Jade, on the other hand, remained focused on the road ahead.
Finally, the car slowed to a stop as we arrived at the elegant restaurant. I looked out through the window and took in the sight of the upscale establishment.
Once the car was securely parked, Jade emerged first, followed closely by me. We stepped out of the car together as she finally announced.
"We're here."
"...I do hope you're ready for another evening of indulgence and luxury, my little rabbit." She winks at me before entered inside.
