The ride was almost peaceful. She quietly drove while I watched the scenery pass us, and she casually hummed to the radio. After an hour or so, we arrived at where she wanted us to go.

"Okay, my little bunny. Let's go." she unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of her car.

She walked over to my side and opened the door for me which caused me to raise a brow.

"Aren't I supposed to go out first and opened your door instead as your— nevermind. I'll follow you from behind." I replied.

She just laughed and shrugged a little.

"You can do that if you want. Just remember that I'm capable of doing things on my own." she said. "But, if you insist, then be my guest. I wouldn't mind the act, though."

If she can handle herself on her own then why bother turning me into her bodyguard? I couldn't understand her at all.

We entered inside. The shopping center was filled with various boutiques and high-end brands. Occasionally, she would glance at me, making sure I was following.

"It's too crowded here. Is there an event occurring here?"

"It's always like this here. Now stay close to me and don't get lost." she said, stopping for a moment and waiting for me to catch up.

"I'm not a child." I retorted.

"And I'm not your mother." she quipped back.

"...I just don't want to lose you in this crowd and have to spend hours looking for you, my little bunny. Or you could say that I'm just keeping my property safe. Now, you should be grateful for my concern."

"...."

She gave my hand a squeeze and started walking again while pulling me along with her.

"You're so quiet today."

She noticed.

"Are you tired already? We just got here."

"No, it's the tightness in your hand on mine that I'm concerned about."

Jade looked down at our clasped hands and let out a soft chuckle.

"Oh, you're so sensitive. I'll loosen up, don't worry." She winked at me before continuing to lead me through the crowded store.

"Now, let's find something that will make you stand out."

She steered me towards the clothing section and began to browse through the racks with an expert eye.

"Wait— hold on. Make me stand out..? I thought it was you who needed to buy some dresses."

"And who says I can't do both?" she asked with mischief.

"Come on, trust me. I know what looks good on you." She pulled out a suit and held it up against my body.

"What do you think?"

"It's... fine." I commented.

"Fine? Fine? That's all I get?" She pretended to be offended while placing her hand on her hip.

"I thought I trained you better than that."

"...And I thought you already knew what my response will be through all of this. Picking such clothes isn't really just my thing..."
