It's been two weeks of intense trainings... Feeding our beasts with an over dose of resilience and stamina, a hundred bowls of anger and a drop of human emotions. We've done our part and I think it's only human to say "we've left the rest to God".

This is the fastest I have witnessed time fly, these past weeks has been weird...you know, putting up a façade to make Tobi and everyone else suspect less of what is going on.

Thanks A DAY TO THE WAR.

A zebra knows better than to seek coverage in short green grasses or an elephant- behind a needle. I need coverage from those in authority, at the same time- I can't deceive myself into thinking anyone of them could be trusted.

So, until tomorrow, then- shall the end result revile what my destiny really is.

"I've looked everywhere for you Willow, thank goodness I listened to my guts to find you here.

What are you doing on the field?" Asked Tobi

"Long time comrade" I responded to my dark hearted friend; Tobi with a smile as he joined me in sitting on the already trimmed grasses.

God knows- I was damn tired of this pretentious act,
Receiving demonic delights and dishing out holy cupcakes...
pretending like I know nothing- when I know everything.

"What is our motto?" I asked Tobi

"Victory is from God alone" responded Tobi raising a brow

"No, I mean our motto. You, Ibrahim and me" I further asked, using my thumb and index fingers to flick off an insect that tried colonizing my boot.

"My friends and I- on the field and out" said Tobi as we both laughed

"Mehnn, Ibrahim comes up with the most funny things when his drunk" said Tobi

"I used to think it was funny, Until now.

I know you've heard of tomorrow's mission...announced by the big voice?

We're to engage in a war against the enemies that took our friend. I just want to know- does our motto still stand? Like between us?" I asked Tobi who was now a bit drawn back into reality.

"Is there anything I should know before then Abobi?" I asked Tobi

"My mouth has been shut from saying a lot,

My hands, tied from writing a lot. I know what is looks like Willow, please don't make me do what they want... stay behind tomorrow, it's no use coming with us" said Tobi as he stood up and walked away

"Tobi, Tobi hold on- what do they want?" I kept screaming Tobi's name even though I knew he wasn't going to look back for a second.

THE WAR- D DAY!

5:30 am, Nigeria was still asleep while the barracks underwent earthquaking soldier movements. Our vehicles and choppers were ready for dispatch... and so were our weapons.

Every sergeant in the barracks fell into arrangements- in rows and columns. We prayed, marched and sang for a little warmup and ginger.

MORALE SONGS

Commander; Jeh jeh jeh we Dey go ooo
Recruits response; Jeh jeh we Dey go ooo jeh jeh

Commander; Jeh jeh jeh we Dey go ooo
Recruits response; Jeh jeh we Dey go ooo jeh jeh

Commander; Jeh jeh jeh we Dey go ooo
Recruits response; Jeh jeh we Dey go ooo jeh jeh

We sang and clapped to morale songs as we took our seats in the vehicles, those who took the chopper also sang on air- am sure.

We arrived to an empty field- the place was too quiet to be a war zone, if I didn't know better I'd have concluded we were at the wrong venue...or, could this be another ambush? I hope not God.
