1 year later

The first snowfall of the season had just dusted the ground, turning the world into a glittering white paradise. It was the perfect setting for our winter wedding, something I had dreamed about since we got engaged. I woke up early, the excitement bubbling inside me making it impossible to stay asleep. Hermione and Ginny were already up, bustling around and helping me get ready. Hermione had been my rock throughout the wedding planning, her organizational skills ensuring that everything was perfect. "You're going to be the most beautiful bride ever," Ginny said with a grin, as she helped me into my wedding dress.

"Thanks, Ginny," I said, feeling a mixture of nervousness and excitement. "I can't believe today is finally here." As I stood in front of the mirror, my heart fluttered with excitement and nervousness. The reflection staring back at me was almost unrecognizable; I was adorned in an elegant, ivory gown that flowed gracefully to the floor. My hair flowed down, tiny blue flowers like a crown on my head.

"Are you ready?" Hermione asked, stepping into the room with a warm smile. She looked beautiful in her bridesmaid dress, a French blue that complemented the winter theme perfectly.

"I think so," I replied, taking a deep breath to steady my nerves. "I can't believe it's finally happening."

Hermione hugged me tightly. "You look absolutely stunning, Mira. George is going to be blown away."

Ron and Harry entered the room, both looking dapper in their dress robes. "Wow, Mira, you look amazing!" Harry exclaimed, giving me a hug.

"Yeah, George is one lucky guy," Ron added, grinning. "Ready to become Mrs. Weasley?"

My heart swelled with happiness as I nodded. "More than ready." The ceremony was held in the Weasleys' backyard, transformed into a winter wonderland. Fairy lights twinkled in the trees, and magical snowflakes gently floated down, creating a serene and magical atmosphere. Guests were seated on wooden benches adorned with plush blankets to keep warm, and a large, roaring fire pit provided extra warmth. As the music began to play, I took my Harry's arm and walked down the aisle. I wanted more than anything for my father to be here to walk me down the aisle, but I could still feel him here with me, even if he wasn't really here. My heart raced as I saw George standing at the altar, looking incredibly handsome in his suit. His eyes locked onto mine, filled with love and admiration, and I felt all my nerves melt away.

The ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. Arthur Weasley officiated, his voice warm and steady as he guided us through our vows. When George and I exchanged rings, my hands trembled slightly, but the love in his eyes gave me strength. "I now pronounce you husband and wife," Arthur declared, beaming. "You may kiss the bride." George dipped me down towards the snowy ground and kissed me deeply, the cheers and applause of our family and friends echoing around us. It was the happiest moment of my life.

The reception was held in a large, enchanted marquee that sparkled like a jewel in the winter landscape. Inside, the tables were decorated with elegant, winter-themed centerpieces: white roses, sprigs of holly, and candles that glowed with a warm, golden light. Snowflake charms hung from the ceiling, twinkling as they caught the light. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter as we celebrated with our loved ones. There were heartfelt toasts from family and friends, each one bringing tears of joy to my eyes. Fred's speech was particularly memorable, filled with humor and heartfelt sentiment. "To my brother George, and his beautiful bride Mira," Fred said, raising his glass as he finished his speech. "You two are perfect for each other. Here's to a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and love." The first dance was magical. George and I swayed to a slow, romantic tune, lost in each other's eyes. As the music played, tiny, enchanted snowflakes fell around us, disappearing before they touched the ground.

"I love you," George whispered, his eyes shining with love. "More than anything in this world."

"I love you too," I replied, my heart overflowing with happiness.

Later in the evening, the party really kicked off. The dance floor was packed with people laughing and dancing, and the Weasley twins were in their element, pulling pranks and keeping everyone entertained. George and I joined in the fun, dancing and laughing with our friends and family. Hermione and Ron danced together, their love evident in every glance and touch. Harry danced with Ginny, their faces glowing with happiness. Even Percy, usually so serious, was caught up in the joy of the occasion.

As the night went on, George and Fred had a surprise for everyone: a spectacular fireworks display. They had spent weeks preparing it, and it was nothing short of incredible. The sky was filled with vibrant colors and intricate patterns, each explosion met with gasps of awe and applause. George and I stole a moment alone, walking hand in hand through the snow-covered garden. The night was clear, and the stars twinkled above us. "Can you believe we're married?" George asked, his voice filled with wonder.

I smiled up at him, my heart overflowing with love. "It feels like a dream," I admitted. "A beautiful, perfect dream."

He pulled me close, kissing me softly. "I promise to make every day as special as today, Mira. I love you more than anything."

Tears of happiness filled my eyes as I kissed him back. "I love you too, George. Always and forever."

As the evening came to a close, George and I bid farewell to our guests. There were hugs and well-wishes, promises to see each other soon. "Welcome to the family, Mira," Molly said, hugging me tightly. "We're so happy to have you as a daughter-in-law."

"Thank you, Molly," I replied, my voice thick with emotion. "I'm so grateful to be part of this wonderful family."

Arthur clapped George on the back, his eyes shining with pride. "Take good care of each other, you two."

"We will," George promised, his arm around my waist. The day had been perfect, a beautiful beginning to our life together. And as I drifted off to sleep, I knew that no matter what, we would always have each other.
