We ran across the bridge until we saw Harry and Hermione running back towards us. I didn't stop running, wrapping my arms around Harry. When I pulled back, I searched his eyes for any answer that told me about my dad. But all I saw was worry. Together, we found a way to get inside the Ministry, and into the department of mysteries as we followed Harry into a room where shelf upon shelf stood with millions of prophecies. All of our wands were out as we carefully walked down the dark corridor. With our wands glowing, we followed Harry as he ran to shelf 97. "He should be here." Harry said, confused. He looked right at me when he said that, both of us more worried than before.
"Harry," Neville called as he stared at a small orb on a shelf. "It's got your name on it." And Harry stared at it in confusion. He reached out, taking the magical orb in his hand.
The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches.
And the Dark Lord shall mark him as his equal,
but he shall have power that the Dark Lord does not.
For neither can live while the other survives.
"Harry!" Hermione called as she directed his attention to the figure in black that had appeared between the shelves. My wand was raised, pointing at the figure as it walked towards us slowly.
"Where's Sirius?" Harry asked, his voice strong.
"You really should learn to tell the difference between dreams and reality," said Lucius, as he drew his wand and magicked his Death Eater mask away. I glared at him, no longer feeling very afraid of the man in the mask. "You saw only what the Dark Lord wanted you to see. Now hand me the prophecy." He ordered.
"If you do anything to us, I'll break it." Harry threatened him. But then we heard a chilling, cackling laugh come from behind him. Bellatrix.
"Oh what a fun family reunion this has been." I spoke up, as 'Aunty' Bellatrix walked into the light.
"He knows how to play!" she laughed. "Itty, bitty, baby. Potter," she spat before her eyes rested on me. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Mirabella Black... the traitor's spawn."
"Can't say this has been fun."
"Bellatrix Lestrange." Neville gasped.
"Neville Longbottom, is it?" she asked from Lucius' side. "How's mum and dad?"
"Better now that they're about to be avenged!" I put my hand on Neville's shoulder, holding him back. Now wasn't the time. We had to get out of here alive first.
"Now let's, everybody, just calm down." Lucius suggested. "All we want is that prophecy."
"Why did Voldemort need me to come get it anyway?" Harry asked. I almost laughed at how wide Bellatrix's eyes widened.
"You dare speak his name? YOU FILTHY HALF-BLOOD!" she raged.
"Oh piss off. Keep your dog on a lease, Lucius." I sneered at Bellatrix. But suddenly I was becoming more aware of the death eaters that were starting to surround us.
"Prophecies can only be retrieved by those whom they are about." Lucius said darkly, as he glared at me. As they moved closer, the group of us formed a circle, making sure that we could see all of the death eaters. I stood next to Harry, not wanting to lose him. "Haven't you ever wondered about the connection between you and the dark lord? Why he was unable to kill you when you were just an infant? Don't you want to know the secret of your scar?" Harry moved closer to Lucius, looking like he might actually hand over his prophecy. I watched Harry closely, not trusting Lucius to not try and kill Harry. "All you have to do is give it to me and I can show you."
"I've waited 14 years." Harry said. He looked back at me and gave me a nod. I elbowed the rest of the group and they stuck their wands out, ready for anything.
"I know," Lucius said almost sympathetically. It was fake.
"I guess I can wait a little longer. NOW!"
"STUPEFY!" We yelled. I shot my spell at Bellatrix, finding her lack of sanity more dangerous than anything else here. I grabbed Ginny's hand and made the rest of the group follow me as we ran for our lives. I had tried to stay with Harry, but we had all gotten separated in the running. "Stupefy." I shout but the death eater apparates before I get the chance to hit him with the spell. I groan but keep running. Behind me, I hear Hermione and Ron yelling spells while they run. Hermione and I yelled a spell at the prophecies, making them fall on top of the oncoming death eaters. My running came to a sudden halt, when I collided with Luna, Ginny, and Neville. I checked everyone's faces to make sure they were ok: Luna seemed to be the only one hurt. Ginny saw the death eater flying right towards us and pointed her wand at him.
In a loud, strong voice, she shouted, "Reducto!" We watched as the blast hit the death eater, a small rattling sound could be heard from the far end of the corridor. Then few by few, the prophecies started to fall from the top down, creating an avalanche of sorts.
"Run!" I shouted at all of them, starting to run away.
"Get back to the door." Harry ordered us. I tried not to look back as more of the prophecies started to crash all around us, some just barely missing. We jumped through the door, falling all the way down to the bottom.
